GFY is boring adult forum. Is there better site?
 

So I have been posting here a while now, I was visiting well before though and I always liked the banter but it seems many people get banned, sometimes for no reason.
I often see users in old posts that I uses to like that now show "so fucking banned".

I used to visit gfy back in 2003, 2005, 2007, 2011. It was a fun read when I had time but now it seems the forum does not move much.
It's the same boring shit.

I know the industry has moved on but it looks like GFY didn't adapt or die.

Hello Awkward it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums?

This forum actually bans less people than most forums. Can you imagine if some of these people tried to remain active on a mainstream forum.

We have a major poster here that talks about his love for human feces in 90% of his posts.

Think about it.

Some might observe that the bad posts drove out the good. Maybe some truth in that.
But it's not that simple.
There are still many excellent people who keep an eye on this board, people who are worth listening to, and sometimes they post.
Anyone who wants to know the pulse of this industry will keep a finger on GFY.
And there are good posts here every day.
But not as many as in days past.
All of that just might have more to say about this Industry than it does about this board.

It says all about the current state of the industry.

I have no problem with posters. If currentlysober wants to post about poo all day, so what.
I am more concerned with other genuine posters getting banned for reasons I can't see.

A lot of people are still around, just in other places.

Just look at the 2 recent shows with more than 1000 attendees each, there is no shortage of industry people. It just makes no sense anymore to argue with the trolls on here.

I've been in this industry for over 25 years as well as GFY. There have been great years and boring ones. The posters from the industry seem to have dropped while mom's basement warriors that just want to find anything to complain about increase. It's the nature of the beast. Best to just skim over the nonsense and go directly to industry related posts or seek out other industry boards that limit random posters - they are out there but due to GFY policies I'm not about to list them. Hit me up privately if you want some more boards to try along with this one.

Name 5 that were interesting posters and that were banned.

I left the board in 2003 and just recently logged back in in late 2014. My first impression was that the industry had imploded, and all that was left was low life scammers...programs like date sites with no chance of any real female members and sites that simply wouldn't survive if it wasn't for their slight of hand cross sell strategies.

After a bit of research ( a google search for adult industry news), my faith was at least partially restored. There are still good companies out there and real industry members....just not on GFY.

I have no issues with currentlysober, but I would ban at least 50 others, if I was administrator here. Don't ask me who, I will not tell.

Seriously though, if you want a more technical style of posts with more 'secrets' being shared, then yes, there are better forums for this purpose, but they are invite only.

However, you need to remember that even the name of this particular forum on GFY is " Fucking Around & Program Discussion"... IMHO, with the emphasis on the 'Fucking Around' part...

I wouldn't say I want a more technical style of forum or more secrets being shared, I am a member of a couple of other adult forums that seem to be just as slow as this.
I understand that it's fucking around and I fuck around just as much as most. I post maybe 1 biz thread in 20 but I don't know it just seems like so many people get banned that it's now like a ghost town. I'm not going to name names but there have been some really cool posters that have gone recently.
Now we have Ribbet Hogg or what the fuck posting nonsense 100 times a day.

This forum pretty accurately reflects the state of our country as it is today. A lot of fucking idiots with little or nothing to say and they say it loudly over and over. I'd say GFY is adapting nicely.

Firstly, I was right, he ignored the request to name at least 5.
Secondly, he was talking about members that are banned and no longer posting, not current active members that had previous bans. So basically you did not manage to post even 5, just +- 1 (damian).
