It's hard to explain what they do - Here is a hypothetical - There is a huge earthquake in a remote part of the world - They the use satellite imagery to spot people in trouble - You look at a small area from the imagery and mark something that looks like a remote village for example...
They then start sending more users to look at that area - The more hits they get the more they send until they inform the people that can do something to help them.....
