Attempted Murder

lagwagon 10-18-2015 11:39 AM

is that a double yellow in the middle of the road? however, i would say time on the force is over for that officer, lucky he did not kill that guy.

Seems like the officer could say he was swerving to avoid something in the road, but the car behind him only had to hit their brakes.

L-Pink 10-18-2015 11:47 AM

Wish I could feel sorry for anyone involved, but I can't.

Rob 10-18-2015 11:54 AM

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Like L-Pink, can't find myself feeling sorry for anyone involved.

dyna mo 10-18-2015 11:55 AM

if the chick passenger is hot, i'll feel sorry for her, otherwise, she's just as big an idiot as all the others involved.

SilentKnight 10-18-2015 12:22 PM

Probably a perfectly good reason why there's a double solid line on the highway.

Bike rider shouldn't have crossed it...car driver shouldn't have crossed it.

Stalemate.

that didn't look like a cop.

no matter if the biker was in wrong for passing the guy was absolutely mental for doing that and possibly killing the guy. he shouldn't be driving.

agreed :2 cents:

SilentKnight 10-18-2015 12:55 PM

Why'd the biker with the cam walk all the way to the car instead of staying to help the other injured bikers?

My first instinct would've been to help the injured and/or call 911.

the facts in this video are linear, he crossed the double yellow first, after that all things ( law vs personal opinion ) are up for argument. :)

that said, i do think the officer is an idiot... actually, they are both idiots...

crockett 10-18-2015 01:13 PM

Honestly , I expected the guy to go up and beat the shit out of the guy in the car. It's lucky he was an old fuck.

TCLGirls 10-18-2015 01:23 PM

Girl is alive, but has extreme arm injury.

Their helmets saved them from more serious injuries. There's a longer video on that facebook page too...the driver's comments are quit interesting.

this ^^^

anybody saying any different is equally mentally unstable as the attempted murderer in the video.

I knew it was an old guy by the way before i saw him get out the car. This is textbook 'frustrated old guy' behavior.

They seemed ok + the other dude said "get the license plate number"

+ "I don't care" comment.

mineistaken 10-18-2015 03:48 PM

Oh, and it is annoying when they do not cut the video and you must wait for the action.

Could've been the case - I watched it first time with the audio low.

I think the biker who recorded it should've edited out the first few minutes where he was obviously driving at a high speed - passing telephone poles like a picket fence.

The jackass in the car should never have swerved and intentionally hit the bike - but these bikers weren't exactly the epitome of responsible, law-abiding riders either. Pretty tough to point fingers of guilt when you're just as guilty of reckless riding.

dyna mo 10-18-2015 03:59 PM

reading that dumbfuck rider's facebook he'll make the same mistake again soon enough, he's blaming his passing on a double yellow because the guy was going too slow. that's not learning a lesson on how to ride a motorcyle. what he should be saying is his idiot girlfriend almost died on account of his choosing to pass on a double yellow.

That is reckless driving no doubt (most of super bike drivers do that), but the reason his GF was hurt was not him passing that line at all. The reason was mentally dysfunctional murderous car driver.

Passing on a solid yellow line was the start of what caused his GF to be hurt. Not to absolve the idiot in the car of responsibility...but he put himself in a position to be hit by making an illegal move.

I've grown up riding bikes and have a lot of bike rider pals. But many of them are the first to say these crotch-rocket riders don't observe the rules of the road much of the time. I see it myself all day long.

Make no mistake - this doesn't condone the actions of the asshole in the car. But he wouldn't have been able to hit the bike the way he did if the bike hadn't been where it shouldn't have been.

that's not my point. my point is based on living and dying as a motorcyclist.

the car driver is a-ok while the girl is in serious surgery because the motorcyclist chose to pass on the double yellow.

it's personal accountability and one of the big big reasons why I NEVER ever rode on the back of a motorcycle and never will. the cyclist chose to illegally pass the wrong guy, his girlfriend paid the price for that choice and the cyclist still points his finger at the cager because he was driving too slow. combined with the fact that the cyclist was not in an emergency, he was joy-riding fast and fun, i get that.

A good experienced biker know there are drivers like that out there and know what may happen.:2 cents:

Just a couple of assholes doing what assholes do. :2 cents:

Lots of emtion involved for those people right now, appears that they have a bad attitude, however i'd attribute that to what happened - ie nearly witnessing a mate die and nearly dying themself.

The old bloke in the car should be arrested, who cares what the law is about the double lines, he tried to use his car as a weapon. It is quite terrifying to watch what happens then his attitude even though he knows he has severely injured these people :disgust

Sly 10-20-2015 12:33 PM

The driver now has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

his spider story would have worked if he hadn't incriminated himself by saying "I don't care" on the video.

but I'm still not caring about anyone involved here, unless the girl is hot of course.

michael.kickass 10-20-2015 12:45 PM

The old guy is mental for sure, video should be proof enough to remove his license.
