I get the joke, but the keyword to remember is : "Global".

Next in this thread: "Think green", "drive EV", "consume less oil", "blah blah blah" (liberal talking points from myself and Crocket). Then, "fight, deny, deny deny" and "Dumfuckshitass" from the usual suspects. Cries of "But, science!" are squished by the hammer of ignorance (or the hammer of truth, depending who you ask_. Toss in some conspiracies and lies for flavour. Finish with "Polar bears and snowballs", and you have another GFY thread on climate change. Winner: No one.

It's getting warmer. That's a fact. Blame it on whatever you want, but it's getting warmer. The ice age is ending. It's not like this is the first time this has happened; It's not like we didn't know this was going to happen.

By the end of the century the oil will have run out and the Arabs will be back to riding camels.

As for global warming, the deniers will be screaming why no one did anything and the pro lobby will be saying I told you so.

And the rest will be leading a lot less comfortable lives.

This is assuming low oil prices for years. All oil producers will be hurting but countries whose main revenues are from oil exports will suffer.
