Discount Laptops or Tablets?
 

With Christmas right around the corner, I want to buy laptops or tablets for my family, friends, and employees. But really don't want to spend $500 - $600 a pop. Where do you go to purchase discount laptops or tablets? I checked out bensbargains.net, and they have some great deals, but the selection is shit.

On a side note, while looking around the net, I saw that desktop computers are now selling for $50. And they're not shitty (2GB RAM, 2GB GPU, 300GB HD). That's fucking insane!

best thing about this tablet is it has normal sized USB ports, just plug any keyboard / mouse/ monitor right into it.

most stuff you get for real cheap is going to be crap and the specs for that desktop you listed is like something i bought 12 years ago.

Ebay has many workstation laptops for $200 to $300.

Also to keep in mind, Rob, if you're not wanting to spend out on high quality products, maybe change your choice of present, as we've all received presents that are left in a drawer & never used :thumbsup

I've bought and sold $100k+ worth of stuff from AliExpress in the past year alone. Any of the small issues I've had with product has been remedied quickly and satisfactorily.

Whatever you buy anywhere comes from China anyhow. Cut out the middleman.

I just found a 14" 2.4Ghz 6GB 800GB HD Sony Vaio for $165 and I bought it. The thing is less than a year old and retails for around $850. Damn, there is some really great deals on eBay if you look hard enough. :thumbsup

I hear ya, it's just different levels of gifts is all. I'm getting my daughter in college a new Macbook, but I can't justify spending that much money on my 7 year old. I also have employees who have been with me for over 10 years, and ones that just started. I can't really buy iPad Gen II for both, ya know. :thumbsup
