Title is the category and Alt is the description.

alt (alternate) will show if the image fails to load - this should describe what the image contains eg. alt="Indian slut eating a popadom".

title will be displayed on hover (tooltip) and should be used to provide additional information about the image, for example if it links to other content e.g. title="click to view more Indian sluts eating popadoms", use only when necessary.

I am using alt and it seems to work better.

I doubt either make much difference these days.

The best way is using both, but for me ALT is more useful
