They hate us because we've been bombing them for decades, not because of our "way of life", or whatever excuse the war mongers want us to believe.
No matter how twisted and convoluted an idealogy is, basic human needs and desires remain constant across all humanity. Blowing one's self up because others don't worship the same sky ghost, is not one of those constants; and neither is blowing one's self up because of other's way of life.
