Ukraine, is there anyone in there now?
 

Guys, actuallly it's early to ask, since yet long way to go for summer, but, this year Grece (most likely), Bulgaria or Ukraine lately in my mind as wel, we plan to visit one of these with one friend though i didn't mention Ukraine to him for now.

My question is, is it safe to go now? and also we har now neonazis leading the West part of country, how is their approach twoards foreigners? are the prices cheap? etc.

I'm not an Ukrainian but I know a lot of people from there. Two guys from the Western Ukrainians (Lviv) doing home repairing works for me and my brother in law. Also I have a lot of contacts with Ukrainian webmasters on Russian-speaking boards and have many clients there. When we speak about the situation on the Ukraine, they say it's pretty save and calm now. Course if you are not going to Donbass... The local people are absolutely not aggressive towards foreigns (remember, many Ukrainians are used to spend their vacation on Turkish resorts). The prices are also very low. It always was a very cheap place comparing to other countries in the Eastern European region, but now there is a very serious economical crisis on the Ukraine, so the prices have dropped even more.

P.S. The only thing you should actually be warned about is a situation with AIDS there. According to the British sources, every 4th Ukrainian prostitute was HIV+ in 2012. I think now the situation got even worse. E.g: Euro 2012 fans warned of HIV epidemic in Ukraine. - Mirror Online, HIV hookers peril for England fans etc...

I was in kiev a few months ago and i never felt in danger. It's a AWESOME town, cant wait to go back soon :)

Got some friends in Lviv and Kyiv. There are some neonazis of course, but you can find them everywhere (especially on soccer stadiums, lol). So don't hesitate - Ukraine is a great country and Lviv is wonderful. Kinda Wien or Prague as it looks on the photos.

Odessa is also a nice city. Kinda some of Mediterranean cities.

The Ukrainians say that Kiev is best for regular tourists while Odessa is for those who's looking for a party night life.

My brother has a girlfriend in Dnepropetrovsk and goes over there whenever he can (every 90 days atm) so anything you want to know about that part of Ukraine ask and I'll ask him. He thinks as long as you stay west of the Dneiper you're unlikely to get killed by warfare...

I've been to both Kiev & Zaporozhye last year.

I liked Kiev a lot.

By far the most beautiful women I've seen have all been Ukrainian.

Kiev is fine, a little overpriced, but if you bring dollars you'd be golden, especially now.

Odessa keeps partying no matter what.

Dnepropetrovsk, my ex home town, that's a shit hole for sure, but really cheap now.

Lvov is fine if you stay close to the center where they built a Polish like pedestrian zone.

Cheap sushi would be my choice.

Western people would be surprised seeing women wearing evening make up and high heels
on a daily basis in the morning and day hours - expect instant boners at times :)))

But, on a short note, I'd advice to take a trip to CZ or Slovakia, in case you're looking
to get laid.
