My daughter had it a few months back, why?

Me and one of my daughters have got it now, I didn't even really know what it was, did a search and noticed an outbreak not too far away

Did it last long?

Yeah, a lot of nurseries get out breaks. It's not too bad. The worst was that she was off food for a long time.
It lasts upto a week and the only visible symptoms are tiny spots on the hands and feet.

Yeah, it hurts to eat, might do me some good. Not sure where my daughter picked it up, perhaps in school or at the local pool

I've never had it, or known anyone to have it, but this is the second time I've heard about it in a month. Weird.

When you say it hurts to eat, how do you mean?

It dried my tongue out completely, that was pretty much the only symptom initially, then it started to hurt when I ate, two ulcers in my mouth now, when I drink a sip of water my tongue feels complete relief as it gets rehydrated, feels great for those few moments. Not sure if there's more to come or if this is the worst it will get, it's meant to be mainly children who get this, but for some reason I've picked it up too

What's the false flag rating on this "disease?"

Now that I'm actually reading about it, an ex of mine once told me she had this when she was a little girl and it was terrible. I always thought it had such a terrible name: Coxsackievirus

"Coxsackievirus" - You couldn't make that up...

Hope it doesn't get worse - It seems it stays (relatively) mild.....

You will be pleased to hear they are working on vaccines to deal with the groups of viruses that can cause it:winkwink:...

That sounds terrible. Eat a lot of ice I guess.

When the vaccine comes out they'll scare everyone about Hand, Foot and Mouth and tell us that vaccine will save much death and suffering....make sure you check the small print though, you'll have to demand it from the doctor, sample below, you can bet the complications won't last for a week like a dry tongue, instead for life, meaning they get to sell you drugs for life, how convenient, it won't be mild either, notice they admit they make no effort to track these horrific events, it's voluntary and most people won't even realize it was the vaccine which caused their problem or if they do won't know to report it.

I got it last year while we were on a family vacation and it was horrible. My feet peeled and hurt for a couple weeks and had sores all over them. Felt like my feet were asleep all the time and it hurt to walk. Thankfully my little ones didn't get it.

Sounds like you had it bad, I'll need to check my feet to see if anything is there, so far just in the mouth
