Who the fuck plans this stuff?
(I posted this on my facebook, also posting it here)
Ok, I have to rant here a bit. Donald Trump is coming into Kansas City Tonight. The Championship game of the Big 12 is being hosted in Kansas City Tonight. These 2 events occur within 1000 feet of each other at exactly the same time. The Trump appearance at the Midland is scheduled for 6:00pm with the doors opening at 3:00pm. The Big 12 Championship is scheduled for 5:00pm but people will be down at the Power and Light District all day long before the game, during the game and after the game. WHO THE HELL PLANS THIS STUFF ? ARE THEY JUST TOTALLY INSANE ? Here is a composite I put together from Google maps. The inset is an image from the Power and Light district during last year's Big 12. The crowds have seemed to be just as big this year as the tournament has been going on all week. In the Power and Light district the beer and booze will be flowing freely while 500 feet away crowds of Trump supporters and Trump protesters will be gathering. http://www.madspiders.com/images/kc_march122016.jpg This is what the Power and Light district looked like during the 2015 Big 12 tournament: http://www.madspiders.com/images/big12crowd.jpg WILL KANSAS CITY SURVIVE THIS? I usually have a great amount of faith in my Kansas City neighbors. We are usually a fairly neighborly and polite city but not always. I hope we can make it through this with out the stuff that Chicago and St. Louis experienced. Me, I am staying as far away as I can. . |
street battles always make for good entertainment. they should have put them closer together imho.
|
The media will blame Trump.

Drunken sports fans and hyped up political activists are probably not a real good mix. Trump should have been told either come on Sunday after the tournament or do the appearance outside of the downtown area. Ted Cruz is here today too but he is about 10 miles away from downtown and is not anticipated to cause much disruption. . |

Maybe you should look at the pictures of Chicago dumb ass? Let me guess you just randomly posted this and has 0 ties to what happened in Chicago. |

Glad your priorities are in order! Some of you people are to dumb for your own good. |
Could have Trump known about this months ago when he planned the schedule? I assume he is on a very tight schedule flying city to city.

And it is hardly massive. The Midland, where it is scheduled, only holds 3500 people. . |

The problem is the location, not necessarily the schedule. Cruz is in KC today too. He has an appearance at the Adams Mark hotel at 1:00 I believe, so it would be going on right now. The hotel he is at is about 10 miles from downtown, near to Arrowhead and Royals stadium and will not create any conflict with the Big 12 tournament other than Cruz supporters or protesters that want to be at both won't be able to. . |

Go watch the game like a good little drone, get slammed and wreck whatever brain cells you have left. |

A bunch of drunken sports fans does not mix well with a bunch of hyped up political activists. As far as which is more important? The Big 12 is expected to bring 13 million or so in economic development to KC. It is also a chance for KC to show off as it is featured on television through out the tournament and hosts thousands of out of town visitors across the time of the tournament. So, yeah, in Kansas City it is a big important thing. The Trump event will not generate any income for KC and will probably end up costing it money. A rally for any political cause is usually not much of any kind of big deal. The political conventions will be a big deal for the host cities but the rallies are nothing more than that, they are just rallies that allow the supporters of the particular campaign to view their guy or girl. . |
He has had protesters at every rally so no big deal. Just hope he gets done before the basketball game.
They will probably rig it to go into overtime so give Trump and the people time to escape and help the flow of traffic at the same time. |
What are the odds some drunk thugs walk to the rally since they can't afford tickets and slammed a bunch of 40's in the parking lot, might make for a fun event

people tossed out of rally X kfc joints in town = % if a brawl breaks out the % is at least 75% or more |

The Power and Light district is basically a big open air bar. It is alongside the Sprint Center which is where the game is played. They will be having a big party at the Power and Light district throughout the game. The entire area will be packed with people and booze will be flowing freely throughout so there most certainly will be drunk people around. . |

speaking of them though, my sister-in-law teaches and after many years she says the brothers and sisters are the ones that try the hardest and the redneck are lazy losers. and a thug is a thug, no color needed to apply |
The the racist communists and racist welfare recipients can manage to act like human beings I am sure they can get along with the Trump supporters nicely. How would the media portray it if Trump supporters did the exact same things at Sanders and Clinton events? The communists are clearly privileged in the media because when they attack the media reports it as if they are either equal players or are the victims. They never say "black supremacists and communists spread hatred and bring violence to peaceful political event".
