who does this? need a small package so not overly critical stuff, but I need cpanel to install/run some scripts.

you got Softaculous there that does a one click install for like 150+ scripts so for example WP is installed in less than a minute etc.

Plus very much everything else one may ever need in a cPanel.

I run 15 cronjobs on my account most of them run every minute and some every 5 minutes so you'll not have any problem with that !
