Where to get / buy ambient sounds?
Hello there,
this is a question to the video and audio producers around here. :) Where do you get your ambient music and ambient sounds (if you use any) to mix them into your scenes? I'm currently looking for a place to get/buy ambient sounds like nature (beach, forest, riverside), urban (inside a car, a mall, a subway station), people chatting (in a coffee shop, a bar, a club, a party, a office) and also fantasy or scifi sounds like in a dungeon or a spaceship. There are websites like audiojungle.net, but they don't allow the sounds to be used for adult content. :Oh crap Thanks a lot Tom |
Youtube is a good source

Why not record your own?
Go to the beach, press record. Go to the subway, press record. Clean them up in some audio software. Bam. You got your own. |

Hey,
thank you for your responses! I'll try youtube and search for free content and look into ambient mixers. Recording it by my self is not so easy. Tried that and the result was not like a beach, more like noise :D |
If you search sites like archive.org you can find public domain actual free content
Also I think youtube in the control panel area they offer all kinds of free beats and sfx |

4shared
soundcloud |
I spent almost $1000 on a sound package to use in commercials and movies.
