There are a ton of different options out there for cheap. Maybe just go to best buy.

then you need an RF converter that will convert it to composite and then run that into a video capture card in your pc, or like strobi said you need a video capture card with an RF in (TV Tuner)

CCTV cameras use a BNC jack, run down to radio shack and pickup a BNC-2-RCA fitting ($1-$2) and just run a regular RCA Video cable to your tv or vhs. You can also get a BNC-2-F/connection or (cableTV).

I have a RADEON 7200 series with video in and 64meg ram... two years old and still works great.

but you know what sucks with doing it that way.....the huge file sizes compared to mini-dv captures.

I have a Geforce4 TI4600 with digital video in/out. One hour of vhs capture (old family video) was over 90gb.

So I just attached the vcr to my vx-2000 and sent it through the camera via composite to the computer via firewire.

one hour of capture from the camera is about 13-14gb

Unless I was doing it wrong with my video card, you should try to use a mini-dv camera that has composite inputs and firewire to your computer.
