According to a New York Times article published in June 1927, a man with the name and address of Donald Trump's father was arraigned after Klan members attacked cops in Queens, N.Y. In an article subtitled "Klan assails policeman", Fred Trump is named in among those taken in during a late May "battle" in which "1,000 Klansmen and 100 policemen staged a free-for-all." At least two officers were hurt during the event, after which the Klan's activities were denounced by the city's Police Commissioner, Joseph A. Warren. ?The Klan not only wore gowns, but had hoods over their faces almost completely hiding their identity,? Warren was quoted as saying in the article, which goes on to identify seven men ?arrested in the near-riot of the parade.? FULL STORY |

you guys keep claiming Donald is a criminal... and the best evidence of that you can come up with is that his father was arrested for some bullshit almost 100 years ago? :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

New York judge finds Donald Trump liable for unlicensed school | Reuters |
Quote:
2nd one claims he ran an "unlicensed school" = once again failed to fill out some bs paper work... everyone knew damn well that Trump didn't operate a traditional university that awards degrees, but a real estate training seminars... so the charges are bogus, used only for political gain of some judge/attorney general/etc... it's kinda like owner of pornuniversity.com taking heat for running an "unlicensed school"... which would obviously be bogus... |
i was thinking yesterday of posting the story about Clinton's brother getting arrested for DUI over the weekend but passed on it.

i was there also! lucky i had a razor in my sleeve :uhoh i ran like a rabbit!!!! :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Its illegal to claim university status without accreditation, which is a long detailed precedd. Trump was warned by the NYDE in 2005 that it was illegal, but continued to use he term for 5 more years. Supreme Justice Kern found that he's personally liable for knowingly breaking that law. They were telling people they'd get a Trump University degree after completion. |
from the op article
"To be clear, this is not proof that Trump senior—who would later go on to become a millionaire real estate developer—was a member of the Ku Klux Klan or even in attendance at the event." a newspaper article from ~100 years ago that includes a dude name fred trump is certainly solid canon fodder. what say ye liberal lynch mob? Trump guilty high 5! |

it's also impossible to judge actions of someone from the past by current standards... for example, many of the early politicians / presidents used to be slave owners, does that make them bad people? |
Quote:
you guys are the ones that pull up some dirt from 100 years ago in some weak-ass attempt to tarnish presidential candidate's name... :2 cents: |

Trump losing to the DOJ on federal antitrust indictments is serious, as is paying $750,000 to stay out of jail. |

What most of us are doing is pointing out what Trump is saying and doing now, or in his recent past, and questioning whether or not this would make him a good president or not. I haven't seen or heard a single thing that would make me vote for him. |

Warned it was illegal in 2005, did it for 5 more years until sued by the NYAG in 2010, and losing. |
In the real world of politics -- your family background counts. Always has and it always will.
GW Bush's grandfather was a bank that helped finance Hitler's 3rd Reich -- how did that turn out? Of course, President Kennedy's father was a speculator who bought up a lot of the scotch whiskey in Scotland but he was not a bootlegger. So, the truth has shades of grey ... ** What surprises me is that Trump's foreign born trophy wives, his branded name and business being involved in gambling has not become an issue (yet). Do you think someone involved in porn could succeed in politics in the USA -- even to win a local election as a county commissioner? |
Watching people trying to defend the indefensible is fascinating.

So why the fuck didn't Trump call the school; The School of Trump? His lawyers probably advised him not to incorporate with the name university.
Arrogance of the law -- Trump style -- Fuck you! -- SUE ME! Guess what, the state did :2 cents: |

So he was fighting with cops....for what? Civil rights? Or because the cops told him to take the sheet off?
I think it's most likely the second option. |

Horatio, can you go into your desk and check the records to see if someone named Fred Trump was ever in your organization? We need this matter settled urgently.

I can recall my father saying things I'd rather not remember and likewise he told me of things his father said which he found every bit as wrong.
We're all products of our times and immediate environment. As of now, I'm more concerned with what the 2016 candidates contemporary views are. |
