So I just saw Star Trek: Beyond, and (No spoilers)
 

... it sucked!!!

Don't go see this movie. It is fucking terrible. I am a die-hard Star Trek fan (I even like Star Trek: The Motion Picture), but this one is just .... ARGH!!

No spoilers, but: They take the Enterprise to a place they would NEVER take a space ship to. Or through. Another space ship does something stupid and impossible. The crew of the Enterprise save the day by pulling something completely stupid stupid stupid out of their ass. I would have face-palmed if I wasn't too busy groaning.

I went in with low expectations, and yet I was still disappointed.

Just a stupid movie. ARGGHH. Justin Lin needs to stick to directing Fast and Furious movies.

Weird, the tomato-meter is at 85%. Since there has been a dearth of interesting movies released lately, I'll probably go see this.

I plan to see it anyway I like the special effects and my son wants to live on a ship like that some day.

And actually no I'm quite happy. Things are good, etc etc. I just *Love* my trek, and this movie just... blah!
