Hockey!

Are you guys.. fan of hockey ?

Whats your favorite team ?
Favorite player ?

;)

New NHL season is coming out soon.

Well.. Go Habs Go lol, now you know my team ;)

kane 09-13-2016 11:30 PM

Pens fan checking in. My favorite player is Kris Letang. Hopefully the Pens can defend the cup.

FuckMarcus 09-14-2016 07:27 AM

Vegas apparently has a hockey team. You can't even buy a hockey stick and sports authority in Vegas, or hockey gear in general for that matter. Maybe roller blades.

JerseyPuma 09-14-2016 07:39 AM

more relevant is that the World Cup of Hockey is about to start in Toronto.

lets hope it ends up like the inaugural one did :) canada's team is straight up ridiculous, but USA built a team basically to slow them down, block shots, check hard, and try to win ugly. and with quick/bishop/schneider in net, you have a chance to win any game.

FuckMarcus 09-14-2016 07:48 AM

Should be a fun time

CDSmith 09-14-2016 08:25 AM

Winnipeg Jets are the team to watch this year. Well, they're the team I watch every year now, but they're going to be a real threat this season. I can feel it.

FuckMarcus 09-14-2016 08:55 AM

Go Toronto :)

CourtneyR 09-14-2016 09:57 AM

Ah its that time of year again! Hockey is around the corner! We even get an early dose with the world cup going on for the first time since 2004. Even better my boy Pavelski is wearing the C.

Sharks Fan.

I think Team North America will cause some trouble. But hmm Canada will win the cup, we have Carey Price in goal ;)

We will see. Us took one and Canada took one in the Tournament games.

Standings

QCLOVESEX 09-14-2016 12:27 PM

yep you're right Courtney.

I must admit, that USA and Canada got 2 great teams.

Spunky 09-14-2016 12:29 PM

We know that the US and Canada teams are going to be great, but the under 24 North america team is in my mind going to be the most exciting to watch. Bummer their sweaters are so ugly :P

Freedom6995 09-14-2016 02:01 PM

Auston Matthews

The future is looking good for The Buds!

The Las Vegas Ice Center on West Flamingo has a good pro shop.

Go Islanders and Tavares.

Far-L 09-14-2016 03:29 PM

Just the exhibition games between US and Canada looked like play off hockey. Hope the players survive to play NHL season. Fun watching teams of superstars facing off on each other even if they don't always have the same mojo chemistry as their day job teams.

You mean Carey "Shortchange" Price?

Great goalie but the expectation to be at the level he was at during his win streak run, the fact of his injury recovery, and losing PK in front of him are all reasons to bring expectations back to earth.

:2 cents: (to help make up for what Montreal got short changed last season) :winkwink:

shea weber is better defensively. losing subban will hurt them offensively though, especially on the PP.

This is really shaping up to be a great World Cup of Hockey tournament I must say.

Looking forward to it.

I will always have a soft spot for price since he was a Tri-City American.

I like PK but I think Weber is all around better player. Weber scores more goals than PK every year. I honestly think Weber is the best D-man in the league. He sorta reminds me of Chris Pronger, who I thought was the best when he played. Big, tough, and a hard shot.

But you're right about Price, expecting him to return to that level of play again is too much. He is the best goalie in the world, no doubt, but noone can sustain that level he was at. I hope he does though, I'm a huge Price fan.

Johnny T is the man. They need to surround him with a better supporting cast. His talent is being wasted out there. They're close to being a contender but they're still a few pieces away. If the Islanders were smart they'd try to get Ben Bishop before someone else does.

QCLOVESEX 09-15-2016 01:24 PM

PK was really fun watching. Will miss him here. All Montreal fans are disapointed that P.K have been traded, but Weber will do the job. Excellent Defenseman, and he will be more appreciated in the room

PK is a great guy to have on your team. Where ever he goes, good press follows. He also seems like the kind of guy you always want in your locker room.

It is somewhat strange that OP did not even mention that in his OP.

CourtneyR 09-16-2016 09:13 AM

Bump for some fucking rights.

CDSmith 09-18-2016 08:18 AM

Team Canada looked pretty solid last night. The Czechs are a good team, always are in fact, but they were stunned in this first game. Price looked good, very little rust there at all. Some key reaction saves, the kind we've all come to expect.

Team USA shut out by... Team EU?... wow, just wow. No Byfuglien? What was Torts thinking?

Looking forward to the US-CAN game. Americans will be hungry after that humbling loss. Canada better not take them lightly.

CDSmith 09-19-2016 09:23 AM

"The most interesting team in the tournament" -- I had to see for myself. 4-1 against the Fins, nice. The offensive firepower is there but I wondered about how weak their D and penalty kill would be, but they surprised me on that as well.

Team North America v Russia tonight.

I was completely shocked to see the Euro team take it to my boys. Hopefully they are not going to play quick the next round. Even though it wasn't completely his fault, I prefer to not have him in net.

The North American team was really exciting to watch! They seriously gave Rinne a run for his money.

Scott McD 09-19-2016 10:58 AM

Since my Sega Megadrive (genesis) days playing NHLPA 95 my team was always Pittsburgh lol. No idea why...

There is multiple Tri-Cities is the midwest area.. or do you mean the USHL team?

CDSmith 09-20-2016 09:03 AM

That was a fantastic game last night. Team NA was all over the Russians early on, but it came right down to the wire with a 4-3 loss. Both teams now 1-1. The under 24 NA's must win against the Swedes next. They might not make the medal round but the talk is correct, this young team is really exciting to watch.

Tonight: Canada - US. Oohyeah. Looking forward to it.

I mean the Tri-City Americans WHL that Price was on.

QCLOVESEX 09-20-2016 09:23 PM

Hmmm Bye Bye USA Team

kane 09-20-2016 10:04 PM

Canada handed us our ass. You know your team is deep when Letang doesn't make the team and you pull Crosby at the end of the game because you can put Toews in.

Canada has an all-star team. They are going to be fun to watch for the rest of the tournament.

CDSmith 09-21-2016 07:45 AM

Perhaps now everyone out there and in the sports media can put this "is Carey Price really ready?" nonsense to rest now. God I wish the Atlanta Thrashers had nabbed him back in '02.

Let's see what Canada can do to that EU team tonight.

CourtneyR 09-21-2016 10:45 AM

Wow. That sucked.
