interesting take on islam

as I learned more and more about the history of Europe and the middle east I noticed something very interesting.

Islamic empires sat squarely in the middle of the silk road and controlled all the trade with Europe and china and India, this is what made the Islamic empires wealthy.

then when the Dutch went around the horn of Africa to India things took a turn for the worse for Islam. in fact Islam is so hostile and xenophobic that Islam stayed in the iron age while Europe advanced.

after Europe got going Islam was left sucking hind tit for 700 years, then oil!! Islam is doing the exact same thing Islam did 700 years ago, blackmailing the west by cutting off resources and causing bullshit problems

Islam appears to be a one trick pony :thumbsup

(BTW, Islam got it's start robbing caravans in the desert between mecca and the place they go to every year and trample each other to death.)

Cool story bro. It's like people that own pay sites are assholes because they charge a toll to access the content instead of letting people just trample all over the place for free

Does that make the Dutch the tubes??

Is this example just too random??

We may never know

its more like me owning your ISP and triple charging you because there are no other ISP's. think phone company in the 60's every phone extension was another phone charge.

your example is like roman sacking the Jewish temple and building the coliseum.

this is why I was so confused, you have no fucking idea what you're talking about :1orglaugh

Imagine if during the American Civil War, Canada, and Great Britain has invaded to keep the South in power. Or during the war of Independence France had taken the side of GB?

Every civil war or wars or Independence war offer's the same parallels. This is what the West is doing in the ME. Why? Because of the oil.

Imagine the Alamo attacked by British Forces and defeating Houston, because Brish Troops are better trained. Then who's the bad guy?

arock10 10-08-2016 08:43 AM

Pretty sure the bad guy is whoever didn't get to write history

Tasty1 10-08-2016 12:42 PM

You describe exact why i am in favour of sustainable energy.
But Holland took over Indonesia, world biggest Islam country.
What happened there?

Not really it applies to any country where another gets involved in a civil war, for the benefit of big business.

It was a question of how Americans would feel about the outsider favouring the "Friendlier " leader over the wishes of the people.

You sort of missed colonialism. The west has not been saints in all of this. But if you look at what is happening now, it is pretty much a good thing. The normal Muslims have banded together to fight Isis and Al Qaeda. Because of our news medai we tend to focus on the negative but the region is showing unheard of cooperation lately.
