An oil man running the state department.

You don't need a corporate manager to be the nation's diplomat-in-chief.

These types of people, business leaders, serve a function but by their nature, find ways to enrich themselves at their competitors' expense -- that's fine in capitalist endeavors.

Diplomacy is taking positions while playing both ends against the middle -- not just making a fast buck to show a profit this quarter.

Exxon has a $500 billion oil deal with Putin that was put on hold because of U.S. sanctions. How quickly will those sanctions be lifted now with Tillerson as Secretary of State? :1orglaugh
