Star Wars Rogue 1: Star Wars is BACK!

http://i.imgur.com/affMUXi.jpg

So glad they didn't hand Rogue 1 over to this fucking hack of a writer / director.

With Rogue 1, you will finally see a NEW Star Wars film, that looks and feels likes Star Wars, and not some fucking copy and paste film with stolen story lines from other Star Wars films. SW VII was a storyline disgrace.

When you go see Rogue 1, you will see the difference between a hack job and an original film. Big difference.

Rogue 1 will put the series back in line, and put pressure on those fucking morons to actually write a script with a story for Star Wars VIII. (if it's not too late.)

"A special effect is a tool, a means of telling a story. A special effect without a story is a pretty boring thing.." - George Lucas

Ticket price: $ 24.75 for 3D IMAX Theater Los Angeles... Not the smaller IMAX at the malls, I'm talking about the big Corellian theaters now. ;)

PR_Glen 12-16-2016 08:05 AM

I wouldn't be so quick to trash abrahms on his job with ep 7. He basically HAD to pander to the familiar just so people wouldn't hate it too much, because it could have just as easily buried the franchise and disney wasn't going to gamble with an investment that large.

Now that they have made a few movies that will probably both be profitable mountains they can start to have a bit more room for creativity. Also you have all those old characters, they kinda need some new blood in there to keep this shit running heh.

CurrentlySober 12-16-2016 08:11 AM

Currently Downloading... :thumbsup

Paul Markham 12-16-2016 08:24 AM

OK it's now on my list for Xmas films.

Rochard 12-16-2016 08:51 AM

This was a great movie - OMG.

The Star Wars they had last December was good, but the plot was the same as the original. However, I don't like the idea of a "prequel". This one fit in nicely to the original Star Wars, but we need to start moving forward not going back in time.

This was really worth seeing. If you are a Star Wars fan or Sci Fi fan, you must go see this.

Barefootsies 12-16-2016 10:31 AM

I saw it last night, I thought it was excellent. It is nice to see a movie that is not a "reboot". Which is basically what Force Awakens was in a nutshell. That said, there were some surprised, and the last 10 minutes is worth the price of admission. I really enjoyed how they tied the ending into the New Hope seamlessly.

Bravo on Rogue One. Highly recommended for any Star Wars fan. :thumbsup

Caitlin BongaCash 12-16-2016 10:38 AM

can't wait to see this movie))

AndyA 12-16-2016 10:42 AM

Darth Vader is awesome and the new robot K2-SO steals every scene he's in

I agree with you on all of that.

While he did pander to the fanboys, I also think that calling it a carbon copy of A New Hope is lazy criticism. There's similarities, but it really is it's own story.

bronco67 12-16-2016 11:07 AM

I hear this movie has a gritty, boots on the ground feel to it and is actually borderline R rated.

Now I can't wait. Will probably go check it out on Sunday when not hungover....

hottoddy 12-16-2016 01:07 PM

Hope so! I also disliked The Farce Awakens for all the same reasons: not much of a story, rehash of old ideas, pointless nostalgia, low originality. The gushing reviewers must have drank too much Star Wars kool-aid.

My fear is that Rogue One is overcompensating in the "dark, dirty and super fast paced" areas. Hey, let's make it gritty and realistic, blow a lot of shit up over and over again so they don't notice the story. That's the vibe I'm getting now. I'm really hoping for original ideas and good story telling. Hope to see it next week.

i think interracial sells good atm just keep it interracial and black just in beaver and white sell me gomez and much rebillllloosssssss :upsidedow

The Porn Nerd 12-16-2016 10:31 PM

Just saw it and it rocks!! Excellent job and MUCH better than The Force Awakens (Kylo Ren, the Darth Vader-wannabe, is such a sissy pussy fuck it's laughable).

For extra fun check out Catalyst, the Star Wars novel that takes place leading up to Rogue One. Fantastic (especially on audio)!!

oppoten 12-16-2016 11:00 PM

Guys, jewishness doesn't rock. It only pretends to.

oppoten 12-16-2016 11:26 PM

^ Star Wars ended in 1983. Kikery doesn't count.

AllAboutCams 12-17-2016 12:35 AM

I really liked it but

Aren't they just untrained clones? :2 cents:

Lewis11 12-17-2016 10:24 PM

Its gonna be good!

Joshua G 12-18-2016 07:20 AM

was a bit letdown. IMO theres too much borrowing from other movies.

yet another youngling is left alone for safety, only to grow up to be the hero. 3rd time now.

the death star was completed & tested in a new hope. The death star was completed & tested in rogue one. that makes no sense. its the 4th flik with a death star, 3rd one where its completed & tested.

yet again, a parent dies in the arms of the child. 3rd time now.

didnt care for the CGI cameos. one of them had a bit part in a new hope, but has a much larger part now. Odd. & another CGI cameo made an appearance for nothing at the end.

& vader? did nothing. what a waste of the best character in the franchise. the force was barely used, at all, for anything, in this movie.

the bright spot by far was K2SO. huge winner.

If future movies are going to keep templating the past then this franchise is done.

:2 cents:

Steve Rupe 12-18-2016 07:42 AM

I have seen only one Star Wars movie and that was the original. It was enough. I will not be seeing this new one either.

2MuchMark 12-18-2016 12:13 PM

I was kind of meh about seeing this one but I found out yesterday a little about what it was about. Now I really wanna go.

seeandsee 12-18-2016 12:29 PM

i hope its better that SW7 shit

The Porn Nerd 12-18-2016 12:50 PM

SPOILER: There is no opening crawl. And Rogue One NEEDED that three paragraph crawl to explain WTF was going on and how it fit into the larger Star Wars story.

They blew it with no opening crawl big time.

Darkcrni 12-19-2016 05:05 AM

Movie is a real shit, am a huge fan of star wars and this is the worst yet.
Was thinking that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is bad, real bad, but am changing my mind here!

Daniel BongaCash 12-19-2016 08:39 AM

Perhaps, the best part :thumbsup

This is the worst of all, the last Vader scene is kind of cool, but all the rest is really bad!

bns666 12-21-2016 12:53 PM

hope to see it next week

Jel 12-21-2016 01:10 PM

saw this today with my youngest (wtf above on borderline R rated lol).. wasn't a fan of the new droid... and not enough Jedi stuff. Well worth watching though, 99.99% of star wars fans should be more than pleased :thumbsup
