Holiday Spirits - What do you like to drink this time of year?

I like Irish Cream pretty much any time but especially during the Christmas season. I also tend to get more into certain scotches as well. Don't judge, but I actually like Chivas Regal 12 a lot. :thumbsup

What are you drinking this time of year?

Patron XO + a float of Baileys = Baby Guinness :) So yum.

As for me, I'm sticking to G&T. Specifically with Greenhouse Gin since I like a slightly sweeter drink.

I drink beer all year round. I had a nice IPA last night with roast beef.

I like a nice South Australian Shiraz. It's not cheap, but it's definitely an instance of you get what you pay for. We typically pick up a couple of bottles of Penfolds or Henschke or similar ($500+ per bottle), though you can get some awfully nice mid-range South Australian Shiraz / Cab Sauv wines in the $200 to $300 range from Barossa Valley, Hunter Valley, Eden, or McLaren Vale, among others.

The above are easily some of my favourite wine regions.

That said, I had a Chilean Malbec which turned my head. I forget the name, but it was every bit as good as the Malbecs I've had out of Argentina.

Anyway, my wife and I enjoy a glass of red wine. But this is the time of year when I buy a couple of bottles of a more premium wine than what we enjoy throughout the rest of the year.

It's a liqueur not whiskey. But it's tasty.

Do not consume the liquefied devil, IMO

Tasty1 12-25-2016 12:05 AM

Most coffee. I hardly drink alcohol at home.
And at the New Years Beach party beer and caipirinha.

fuzebox 12-25-2016 12:42 AM

Baileys or Amarula in my coffee in the morning, on ice in the afternoon... And a few glasses of rum and egg nog.

The eggnog is only at christmas but the baileys also comes along on every ski trip.
