It's interesting because the President Elect on the show is a woman (Clinton), and it looks like she is going to have a pretty rough relationship with the intelligence community (Trump).

I wonder when the first episode was filmed.
And when the script for it was finished.

That's a good question. I would guess it was filmed sometime in summer of 2016, but I don't know for sure.

Never liked the first season so never bothered with the rest.

I don't know if they thought at the time that Hillary will win or that they just wanted to show a parallel universe where she won.

At this point it is hard to say. They have only had one episode and she was in it for about five minutes so we don't know exactly how it is going to play out.

You guys do realise it's not a documentary - Perhaps it just plays better with a female...

It is pretty obvious that they had Crooked (and her favorable chances to win) in mind when they wrote this.

The show always likes to be topical. I imagine when they wrote and filmed this season it was at a time when everyone assumed Hillary was going to win easy.

Obviously, it didn't turn out this way, but the show can still pull it off and be good.
