How much do you bench press?
I put up 225 an EASY eight times
245 an EASY eight times 265 an EASY eight times this is where I am stuck...I can only do 285 lbs like four or five times! Can't get over that hump. And I don't even lift with my legs :1orglaugh:1orglaugh Can barely squat 135 :1orglaugh:1orglaugh |
Watch those sqauts; blew out my right ACL & MCL the 1st time with 500; showing off usually ends badly. That 1st blow-out subsequently led to 7 more (4 right, 3 left) over the next few years. Having bad wheels sucks.

I don't flat bench since about a year and a half ago, but I was putting up 225 for 10 reps at 180 pounds bodyweight.
I switched to incline because building a bigger upper chest is what gives your pecs that armor plated look. I was building up the bottom too much and it was starting to look like I had tits. Sixteen months of incline pressing fixed it. Not saying flat bench is useless, but I was mostly using it as an ego lift, when I should have been developing the upper pecs instead. Now I don't even focus on chest that much....all about putting up bigger numbers with the standing overhead press. |

Jonny clips bench iRL 1 plate each side for 3 reps with a spotter...
