Web Hosting Recommendations?

Who do you recommend (that you have good history/experience with) for adult web hosting?

My initial needs are for low traffic, minimal storage, but must hosting plan must be in North American data center, reliable and easily scalable.

??

Thanks

I've done all the cheap ones. I'm on a VPS from Vacares, tell Sly I sent you. :)

Don't forget to checkout the guys at MojoHost.

Guys at 247host are very affordable, adult content friendly and reliable. I use them for some medium and small adult and mainstream sites and they are just perfect. Check out my signature link for a 35% off.

Check my sig for great shared/VPS hosting plans :thumbsup

Thanks so far.

I just checked Site5, which used to be a totally slick designer hosting co, but they were eaten up by EIG and the what followed is typical.

When my dedicated servers at HostGator (which were awesome) got shoved onto trash data center in Utah (by EIG), it killed a successful web enterprise.

Keep those recommendations coming...

Thanks!

You won't need to look to switch hosts ever again.

I just talked with Eric in Montreal, and he was very helpful. They seem like a good small to medium host, like you suggest.

Can't argue with solid dedicated servers, but the entry charge is no cheap.

Some cloud providers let you start with a small VPS and then upgrade it to something larger later on. Create a separate volume that you can attach. When you want to upgrade, you can just detach it from the old server and then attach it to the new server. No hassle. Super easy.

Docker is a newer technology that lets you virtualize your sites and quickly transfer it to a new server. That would work if you want to switch between dedicated servers without having to deal with reinstalling software and configuring everything again.

I'm assuming you don't mean scaleable like Google, Facebook, Instagram, etc. They have whole fleets of servers and you have to design your architecture to work on a cluster from the start.

I'm old school (mid nineties IT) - scalable used to mean multiple load balanced dedicated (swappable) servers.

We have very personable support and are fully scalable from the smallest VPS plan up to clusters of servers. Send me an email or add me on Skype, I would be happy to help.

Is there a way to see what i would get with a mojo host vps

phil-flash 03-02-2017 11:42 AM

I have had 4 hosting companies in my 16 year history online.

Rackshack.com - horrible experience
Colo-cation.com - great experience, expensive
Mojohost.com - good experience, got expensive
Vacares.com - great service, fast page loads, extremely affordable, no issues yet :)

I hope that helps you on your new hosting needs.
