Sen. Elizabeth Warren: Champion Of Women

"Women in Elizabeth Warren's office make less than men. The gender pay gap in Sen. Elizabeth Warren's office is nearly 10 percent wider than the national average, meaning women in the Massachusetts Democrat's office will have to wait longer than most women across the country to recognize Equal Pay Day."

https://www.google.com/search?q=eliz...ore+than+women

The hypocrisy just grows and grows in the Democrat Party. They REALLY need to retool and rethink what they are doing.

The Democrats used to stand for the working men and women. Now it seems that they do nothing but put on a show in public about being a "champion" of women, children, gay, trans, illegal immigrants, blacks, etc. ,etc.

BUT THEN...after the cameras turn off and you watch what they are actually DOING...it's a whole different story.

And I know that many problems are so big that it is going to take time and effort to correct them. But one thing she COULD do is at least pay men and women equal pay in her own office.
Wow.

You are so cute. You try to pretend you aren't a Republican, but you are. You just want to bash the Democrat party every chance you get.

Me on the other hand.... I am an Independent. I could care less what Elizabeth Warren does.

No, Elizabeth Warren Doesn't Pay Women Less Than Men | The Huffington Post

Quote:

No, Elizabeth Warren Doesn?t Pay Women Less Than Men

WASHINGTON― On Equal Pay Day on Tuesday, the Washington Free Beacon misleadingly accused Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) of paying women 30 percent less than men in her own office in 2016. That certainly would be hypocritical of her, as she regularly decries the gender pay gap in America.

But a look at the full salary data for Warren?s office reveals that she has actually paid women slightly more than men during her three years in the Senate. The mean salary for Warren?s female employees since she was elected in 2012 is $44,108, according to publicly available pay data compiled by her office and reviewed by The Huffington Post. The mean salary for men over the same time period was $43,348. This paints quite a different picture from the Free Beacon story, which was gleefully picked up by other conservative outlets, including Fox News, Breitbart and the Daily Caller.

The Free Beacon claimed women earned 71 cents for every dollar men earned in Warren?s office, based on incomplete salary data from fiscal year 2016. This would be significantly worse than the pay gap in the United States, where women working full-time earn an average of 80 cents on the dollar compared to men. But the analysis only included people who had been employed by Warren?s office the entire year, which excluded, among others, Warren?s all-time highest paid staffer, Mindy Myers. Myers, the senator?s former chief of staff, was earning $170,000 a year until she left in December to become the first female executive director of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

The Free Beacon also claimed Warren is only paying one woman more than $100,000, compared to five men. This excludes Tracy Lewis, Warren?s state strategic advisor, who was earning $108,000 before she took a job at the DSCC in February. It also leaves out Haaren Hinck, who worked for Warren for half of last year earning $118,000. And Lauren Miller, Warren?s digital director, earns half of her roughly $120,000 salary from Warren?s senate office and half from the campaign ― but the Free Beacon did not include the latter half in its analysis.

That said, because some of Warren?s top-paid female staffers were promoted to other places in 2016 and replaced by men, that year was not the best her office has performed in terms of comparative mean pay. But even considering those staff changes, the overall pay for the office favors women, and Warren has always paid women as much as men with the same job titles.

A Warren aide said that the senator takes pay equity seriously and that her record speaks for itself.

Wow.

Why do you believe press reports when they cannot be relied upon to be the truth and are very frequently proven to be just total BS? You are constantly posting misinformation.

Heard it on the news today. And then googled it up. It's nice to see that at least one person in this thread was able to find some information refuting that instead of people like you and Rochard who try to make the post about ME instead of the subject.

Catch up and start competing in the arena of ideas. :)

I HOPE that Sen. Warren truly is paying women the same as men. But nothing, and I mean NOTHING would surprise me with any of these lifetime/career bureaucrats like Warren. Especially with her history of lying about being part native-American to be able to take advantage of programs designed to help minorities when she was younger.

You should not rely upon press reports but you seem to repeatedly do that thus you post misinformation as if it is fact.

But Robbie YOU are the one who posted the Google search results and YOU are the one who didn't look at the results of your own search before posting. The FIRST result in the search results link YOU posted proved your premise was based on a lie. So you ignore the results you don't want to propagate and YOU created a thread and posted a lot of assumption based on your agenda and instead of facts based on reality. YOU are the one spreading disinformation and lies. YOU are part of the fake news problem. You wonder why people can't take you seriously? It's your own doing bro. :Graucho:smokin

Hearing it on the news and THEN googling it up...what else is a person supposed to do?
You seem to THINK that you are smarter than I am and have access to wonderful "facts" that have avoided me (in your OPINION).

Please... oh wise one...educate me: Where do YOU get all your information from? Apparently not from any news reports, and not using Google.
Do you just make it up or ask a friend or what? :)

As I have stated before my primary source of information is C-Span. I prefer to believe my own lieing eyes and ears and do my own analysis than rely upon the spin and bias of every media outlet in existence.

So when would the subject of how much money Elizabeth Warren pays her staff EVER come up on CSPAN?

Answer: It wouldn't.

But I do agree with you on preferring to hear what people actually say coming out of their own mouths instead of reporters bias on it.

HOWEVER...this is the kind of subject that Elizabeth Warren probably wouldn't be commenting on or proving or disproving.

And reading that Huffington Post article that supposedly says Warren pays women "More" than men...you find out real quick that it's bullshit.
The article says that Mindy Myers salary wasn't included in the "average" because she had only worked there for one quarter of the fiscal year and makes $170,000 a year in salary (how that kind of salary can be paid to just ONE person on a U.S. Senator's staff is beyond me...a U.S. senators salary is $174,470 a year. And somehow she has a staff member who gets $170,000 lol)
The Huffington Post uses Myers big ass salary as the way to change the "average" and "disprove" the original story.

SO....if you take away the relatively new hiring of just ONE woman...Mindy Myers who is the head of everything and just use the salaries of the actual "worker-level" people on her staff who have been there for YEARS...then guess what?
She pays the men MORE than the women.

That my friend is called analyzing information. :)

House members and members of the Senate are frequently and usually interviewed about press reports made about them if they are controversial reports such as this one about Warren, so yes it would come up. In addition many of them appear as guests on the various spots that are used by the three different C-Span orgs. It is the most informative place to gather information about domestic as well as foreign affairs in existence in my humble opinion.

It also may be the most boring to watch as it lacks the entertainment value that MSM has but if you do not like your news filtered thru the bias and spin of the MSM then C-Span is the place for you. I haven't relied upon the MSM since they found a way to make money off of the "news". If I want entertainment I will watch a sit com or a movie etc.

Joshua G 04-05-2017 06:59 PM

^^ dumb lib claims to be independent & watch C-span. but posts nothing but liberal misinformation, liberal spin, then says robbies posts are misinformation.

comical lib is comical. smug to boot.

:1orglaugh

Robbie 04-05-2017 07:00 PM

Can't blame you for not relying on the MSM at all.

Just sayin'...in this particular case, I don't think this info was on CSPAN.

And I wish it weren't true. But she has been at the forefront of all the gender warfare (as well as racial warfare and social warfare). So I would expect that when you act "holier than thou" about a subject you would practice what you preach.

She doesn't.

And that makes her no better than the Republican hypocrite politicians.

Damn...I think politicians have moved past lawyers on my list of liars. Oh wait a minute, most of them ARE lawyers too. lol
