There's so many holes in this study. Illegal immigrants do not report crimes for fear of deportation. So one could rightly assume these figures are flawed on that alone. Plus the fact they stated they had to more or less "guess" the figure of illegals locked up. And then you have those many instances where the illegal is allowed to walk simply because he/she is an illegal and the officer/city/county/state etc doesn't want to deal with it.

They are less likely to be incarcerated because after one crime they get deported and hence are no longer in the statistics. If 100% of illegals are deported then 0% of illegals are in prison.
