Major civil conflict in New Orleans possible on Sunday
 

New Orleans is tearing down confederate monuments and it is the site of a major rally Sunday. Both sides will be heavily represented. People are coming from hundreds, even thousands, of miles away expecting to fight. Open carry is legal, so expect many to be armed. The mayor has already ordered the police to stand down.

Antifa, New Black Panthers, Communists, Black Lives Matter, Nazis, KKK, Proud Boys, 3%ers, bikers, etc..... this has the potential to be an explosive situation and one for the history books.

I'm sure there will be many live streams. The past few streams have fizzled out. This event is sure to deliver.

I don't now how I feel about this issue - them tearing down old monuments.

Many years ago there was a Jewish professor in NYC who discovered a swastika painted on his door. He left it up there. He decided instead of representing hate, it represented victory over hate. And if you think about it, it does. The swastika no longer represents hate but instead represents when mankind overcame hate.

It's the same thing with the confederate flag. When the say "The south will rise again" it's more of joke and a constant reminder of their defeat.

Why tear down confederate monuments when in many ways they represent their failures and short comings?

Such a stupid idea. Who in a sane mind will dismantle historical monuments? For example here in Russia we still have monuments of Lenin. That's a part of our history and they remain as a reminder (a warning to many) of tragic moments the country has passed through.

P.S. I've been to New Orleans and took many images near those monuments.

It's mostly under the influence of white social justice warriors who think they are doing blacks a favor.

Democrats were the party of slavery and now they are the party of holding black people down through an engineered reliance on the welfare system. Blacks are starting to leave the left wing plantation.
