The former vice president officiated the wedding of a same-sex couple this weekend. Henry Muñoz and Kyle Ferrari were married by Biden, who has served as officiant for at least one other gay couple.

A photo of the occasion was shared by a famous guest at the occassion, actress Melanie Griffith, and is being shared all over the internet in celebration. ?My dearest friends Henry Munoz and Kyle Ferrari were married today by VP Joe Biden,? she wrote on Instagram. ?Wishing them everlasting love and a joyous life journey!!!?

Muñoz is the Democratic National Committee's national finance chairman. Under President Obama, he became the first Latino to serve in that role, and he was reelected this year when Tom Perez became party chairman.

Biden is a stark contrast to Pence, an opponent of same-sex marriage who has pressed President Trump to sign a ?religious freedom? executive order that activists say is effectively a license to discriminate against LGBT people. Trump also promised during the campaign to sign the so-called First Amendment Defense Act if Congress passes it.

Meanwhile, as the campaign was in full swing in August 2016, Biden shared a photo of him officiating the wedding of Brian Mosteller, director of Oval Office operations, and Joe Mashie, a trip coordinator for the first lady, in a ceremony held at Biden?s own home. ?Love is love,? he wrote on Twitter.
