Micro USB Chargers
 

I'm looking for one. I have a USB charger in a case. It charges via micro USB cord. I thought USB and micro USB were one size.

I'm looking on eBay and nearly all list specific phone models, or say for phones. Isn't the end of the micro USB a standard size?

Most wall chargers come with the cable. I have one attached permanently to the case.

There's full size usb, mostly just used for printers now and external drives, mini usb, which is an inbetween size (my gopro3 is the only thing I have left that uses it) and Micro which almost everything uses now. There is the usb-c which is quite new as well.

You didn't say what you want it for so it's hard to give advice. You'll need to make sure it's the right type (full, mini, micro) and provides enough power to charge your device.

It's a small leather case from Best Buy. You plug your regular USB cord into it to charge it. You plug in the micro USB cable to charge the case.

Solved. Ordered it and will hope for the best!

That's for type-c. If you have a newer device with an oval connector like that you may need an adapter.

The type-C description is unfamiliar to me. I have a standard USB port(s) on my laptop. The micro USB is not curved but flat on the bottom and curved on the sides. I thought an adapter made more sense than trying to find a charger. I just need to be sure that the adapter fits.

I see many on eBay but some specify USB-C. I thought all USB connectors and ports were identical. How many types of usb are there? I forgot -- amnesia -- that I had a charger from Best Buy arrive two weeks ago. It has two USB ports and a micro USB port. It plugs into a USB port via cord. I have a USB wall charger I can plug in. I'm going to try tomorrow and see if it works. If it works, that solves my issue. But I still want to know the different types of USB connectors and how to tell them apart. I can print it out and read it when my memory is vacant.
