Trumpcare dead AGAIN

3 times now they have failed. They have all 3 branches of govt and still can't get shit done. Amazing.

Health Care Bill on Life Support After Two More GOP Defections

bronco67 07-17-2017 07:28 PM

Medicaid cuts are a non starter.

Think about people not being able to keep their elders in a nursing home, which is as expensive as fuck even for a low-end place. Not many people have an extra $5k per month to spend on that. It would be a major crisis.

onwebcam 07-17-2017 07:29 PM

Next up. Nothing but bailout funds for the insurance co's. They will slip it into some important bill that both sides want passed.

When you control 52 out of 100 and 2 goes rogue what can you do :)

No company is safe from rogue employees if it is big enough :)

if they would actually try to write a good healthcare bill instead of drooling over tax cuts maybe they could keep all of the votes they should be getting. The thing that blows my mind is that some of them don't want to vote for it because it's too soft on poor people.

the problem with republicans writing a healthcare bill is that their heart isn't in it. They're just going through the motions to get rid of something with Obama's name attached to it and will gamble on whether or not they pay a political price for it down the road. It's a shitty fucking way to be and I feel sorry for the US as a nation when the governing body is full of shitbags in someone's pocket.

They completely ignore whats causing higher premiums; skyrocketing drug prices, outrageous medical costs and insurance profits. The only real solution is single payer and we are a long way from that.

Barry-xlovecam 07-17-2017 08:00 PM

So now there is only the repeal only and replace later scenario to consider -- that is probably a no starter. Creating panic about healthcare won't solve any of the problems either.

Time to rework the whole *system*: a new tax (or standardized premiums) and Medicare for all may be a realistic alternative. God forbid we establish basic healthcare as a mandated right and responsibility in the USA ...

Only in America is it a right to carry an AK-47 to a classroom but being treated by a doctor a luxury.

Yee Haw! Making China great again! Yippee ki yay, tRumster and the republicanos are riding into the sunset faster than a flushing toilet. Yippee ki yay!

Glad it failed. It was a steaming pile of crap.

hottoddy 07-17-2017 09:08 PM

What's key is that Obamacare will fail no matter what. It's politically difficult to legislate away free/subsidized shit once it's been given out. Unfortunately, it may take another year for Obamacare to completely implode before something resembling a solvent system rises from the ashes.

Looks like the Senate is going for a clean repeal bill like they passed in 2015. With a 2 year delay, so that they have to come up with something at that time. The hopes it gets everyone to table to come up with a more complete, debated plan for 2019/2020.

Maybe just patch what's wrong with it?

Leaving healthcare to Insurance companies is like leaving your savings to the casino, both are gambling that you lose and the house takes the lot.

Democrats have been trying to patch what was wrong for 7 years but Republicans wanted it to fail, and they've had the majority, so they blocked all the fixes from passing in congress. Them blocking any fixes has led to increased premiums fucking over the consumer and giving a huge profit windfall to insurance and drug companies.

I don't mean to blast you, but.... Here is a brilliant fucking idea.... Instead of trying to get 52 votes out of 100, why not trying to get 80 votes. Produce a bill that nearly everyone can get behind.

AndyA 07-18-2017 09:34 AM

Obamacare was REALLY hard to pass and the DEMS controlled it all

and Obama was SUPER smart

I think the sick of this country are safe for now from this psycho.. Trump doesn't give a fuck if the bill said anyone over the age of 80 gets shot he wouldn't know cause he won't read it
he just wants to sign

then show off his signature to the cameras like

https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/i...j54MAV--Odx1YV

AndyA 07-18-2017 09:36 AM

and NOBODY has told Trump he doesn't need to show the cameras his signature on every bill

we just saw you sign the bill... I guess he's such a bullshit artist he would be the type to fake a signature on a contract

Rochard 07-18-2017 10:05 AM

Trump was just on TV now and he said the need to let Obamcare fail and this will force the Democrats back to the table.

The President Of The United States just said he wanted our healthcare to fail so he can use it as a negotiating tactic.

No need to wonder why he is the most unpopular president since the 1940s....

wrong - you guys always forget that obamacare would not exist without also republican votes (YES it went though senat and congress witch a republican majority in there who were able to stop it)

so WHY should they vote a few years ago FOR something and now say they have been wrong?

how long do you think this game can be played?

everybody including the democrats know that obamacare is not perfect - it could not be perfect because the even better system from obama was blocked by the republicans.

go back in the time machine and see what obama REALLY WANTED.
including price control for medicals - all what you guys complain want now he wanted it too but he was blocked from the reps.

obamacare is FAR from perfect but the nearest he could get with the republicans.

C H R I S 07-18-2017 10:25 AM

sure because he does not understand that an elected politician have to work in favor of all and not in favor of himself.
he gives a fuck when america fails and he will blame whoever for it.

I'm aware of that, but just to add, insurance premium's here in Aus have gone up 100%+ in the past 5 years as well. Skyrocketing insurance costs are not an unique American problem. People are living longer, wartime population surges are now aging yadda yadda.

Trump had the numbers to finally do something good for the American Health system, but like everything he's touched he's just fucked it, billionaires looking after billionaires.. fuck the people.

I can feel his fake heart attack coming on very soon, only way he's going to be able to save face to his followers.

but i am sure he will blame somebody else (maybe obamacare) for this heart attack.

but in fact that would be the best and most welcome pretense of all he has shown.

There is no such thing as Trumpcare. Continue to enjoy Obamacare brought to you by the Democrats.

You're missing something. Trumpcare is dead, hence there is no such thing as Trumpcare, it couldn't get passed. Do you understand now "Helix"?

ruff 07-18-2017 10:50 PM

tRump says fuck you to 10 million Americans. Let Obamacare fail, we'll blame it on the democrats, Hillary, the media, fake news, etc. Anyone but tRump, who governs only the idiots and fucktards. Making America great?:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh
Suckers.

Suckers.

the really sad point is that he does not even govern them.
they are just easy to manipulate and even the obvious truth is "fake truth" for them.

they think they are wiser than the rest of the world but they are the dumbest creatures on this planet and thatīs why trump can govern only himself and his mafia clan.

the reality shows that trump promised things what he canīt hold - some of them maybe because he is just not a politician and did not know about the job he was elected for. but other things are only lies and he knew that he canīt do it from the start.

so what is left after 6 month is just a mountain of nothing, a destroyed relationship to the rest of the world and a US economy what will collapse with the next crash caused by uncontrolled financial markets.

well done trump. no one before him did that in such a short time.

Paul Markham 07-18-2017 11:47 PM

I thought it would. Too much big money involved.

Trump and the Congress Republicans' new plan is to let *obamacare* go into a death spiral by administrative obstruction of funding and general neglect. Just like a little kid holding their breath until they are blue in the face -- then having to breathe or die :2 cents:
