Documentary - What The Health

Documentary highlighting corruption and collusion between national cancer organizations and large meat, dairy, and Big Pharma

No surprise here.

i had to turn it off 5 mins in...

they basically opened up saying meat is what is making us fat and that is a full out lie. This film is vegan propaganda and probably the worst offender out there. Veganism is an extremely new practice, mostly unhealthy due to how hard it is to get full range proteins, iron and B vitamins. Our populations have flourished because we eat meat and we would die off if we stopped--WHP's main objective.

It's talking specifically about processed meat, so don't think meat, think processed meat. I understand it's hard to give up your favorite things, makes you want to reject the information, however giving up processed meat is a more realistic target than giving up meat

I'm only 20 minutes in, some documentaries are saying sugar is the big problem, this one is focusing on meat. Being a vegetarian it's rather comforting to hear about my reduced risk of Diabetes and Cancer. :2 cents:

It's vegan propaganda, there are lots of websites where they debunk all their claims. Of course processed meats are not good but they say also all other meat including chicken and that milk is bad and basically that you will get heart problems, diabetis and cancer if you won't be vegan. Nothing is based on facts. For pretty much every claim they make there are other research that show the opposite

As long as the debunking isn't industry-funded :2 cents:

the "debunks" are usually (meat) industry-funded
Even the hygiene behind dealing with factory produced tortured animals is cause enough for negative reaction to human bodies

Look at the recent Tesco Lotus horse meat issue

No, it is talking about all meat. If they were talking about processed meat I would agree with that. The additives added in those are not healthy. However they do not cause obesity, they do not cause diabetes. Sugar does. Sugar overworks the pancreas making it weak and useless, causing type 2. Sugar processed through the liver at a large amount creates blood cholesterol. It's not from eggs, its not from bacon, its not even from burgers. It's sugar. Processed meats can increase risk for certain types of cancers yes, but that is a different argument altogether.

You find it comforting because it is telling you what you want to hear rather than what is true or proven, a common and unfortunate theme from you.

Exactly, it's hard to imagine how eating stuff from those industries can do anyone any good, but the food is so tasty, so it's easier for people to go into denial :2 cents:

I don't really have a horse in the race, I'm already vegetarian, so whether processed meat is safe to eat or not doesn't affect me. Sugar is bad too for sure, a big problem, especially sugary drinks. I just drink water and tea, our kids only drink water.

It seems you are projecting; you are someone who enjoys eating meat so you will find it hard to stay unbiased on this issue.

You're right. But nobody seems to want to hear what you have to say.

You're wasting your time even replying. Can't believe that a person's diet has gone to the same level of one's identity as religion and politics.

You really do hate America.

You never post conspiracies about Russia, Russian businesses, corruption, etc. Yes, we notice that.

What about food in Russia & China? What about Russian conspiracies? Seems you believe every anti American conspiracy, and peddle it here, yet you hold Russia up as a Utopia that does no wrong.

Your focus is always anti American.
