in this hotel, it holds the world record "deepest pool"

Y-40 The Deep Joy

Amazing hotel, amazing pool, and now holds a record for a guy diving to the bottom with just one breath!

Gillaume nery is a world famous free diver (his deepest constant weight freedive being 87meters)

he and his wife (who is also a world class freediver) recently starred in the running video for beyonce.

No Freaking way. I like swimming but have a fear of drowning and I'm a little claustrophobic. That dive, and deep sea dives freak me the fuck out.

Though, I would jump out of an airplane in a second. Go figure.

I learnt to Scuba in a pool. Spent weeks doing it and while on holiday decided to do a scuba dive in the sea.
Dive was supposed to last like an hour, I lasted 5 minutes.

They tried to take me into an underwater cave. I chickened out.

That's ludicrous! Love it.

No can do. That guy has superb breath control to last underwater for 3 minutes. Most people start freaking out at 45 seconds.

It could be the same guy. IŽd have thought they would get some one like this to have done this...

2 minutes is pretty damn good. Average is around 30 secs before "first distress" most people go nuts at 45sec.

lets dive until our eardrums burst.

I'm a fish out of water. I use to practice this as a kid and have done some things in the water in my past that some would consider nuts. Nearly drowned from a cliff dive one time. The only thing that saved me was my own air bubble as I tried to come back up. The last time I went snorkeling the people I was with had the coast guard on standby because I was gone so long. I swam so far out without realizing it and they couldn't see me.

funny thing is, before I come to Spain IŽd sometimes need an inhaler. IŽve not got bad asthma, but I did need it maybe once a month in Britain. I smoke & yet can and have always been able to hold my breath easy for 2, as said, once longer...

Since living in Spain, maybe the salt in the air from the salt lakes, however, the area has been voted cleanest air in the world by Sweden on many years, iŽve not needed an inhaler. Alas, can only hold my breath for similar time :1orglaugh
