I think the real takeaway from this is that our president is such a known low life scumbag that we should be surprised he donated money when he said he was going to. Or did he? I don't trust that any financial sacrifice (albeit small for a billionaire *cough*) was made by Trump. Not that he needs to, because he's the president -- but since he was trying to APPEAR to be altruistic and charitable to people in need, we shouldn't all be wondering if it's actually true. That tells you there's a huge problem with the man's character.

The underlying point about Trump is invisible to those who support him. While his detractors give him hell over all the little details, his supporters defend him loyally. But the larger point that a mentally unstable, low character asshole sits in the oval office is lost on most people. That's why we should be concerned.

you have your calculations wrong.... 1 mill, if .01% would only be 1 billion. He says he´s worth 10billion, so if he gave 1 penny in a pound, he would have send 10 million. It´s only 0.001% of his worth.

Let´s say my net worth was just 100 grand, an average working family with a home, half paid off, but other debts like credit cards and loans. If I gave 100 to the charity, I would be giving the same percentage & truthfully, it´s a reasonable percentage. However, it´s a different all round figure, considering, for most working man, 100 would take a couple of days to earn, where as for Trump, his stocks, shares & businesses, his position as president, he probably will make a million by the time we all awoke today & by the time those homes were flooded, when he said he will get around to getting down to Texas :disgust
