has signed a law that bans the sale of dogs from pet stores that are not rescue animals. No more puppy mills. I think that this should become a nationwide movement and do suspect that it will.

Puppymills are the problem, not pet stores.

The more they pop out, the more welfare they get.

The problem is not regulating breeding. We could solve the pet shelter problem if it was illegal to breed dogs without a license.

I was thinking more along the lines of rich white liberal couple adopting African latchkeys. I mean look at the great example Brad and Angelina have become.

A dog abortion system would need to be established for unplanned puppies.

How do you find them?

Facilities that breed and sell their animals to pet stores, brokers, or research facilities are covered under the Animal Welfare Act (AWA). The facility operators are required to obtain a license from the U.S. Depart- ment of Agriculture's (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS)

Most people breed for the money. They usually use social media, Craigslist or Backpage to sell their puppies. Included in the ads are their phone numbers and addresses... it really wouldnt be that difficult.

You could even code a spider to go out and crawl for ads from numerous sources on a daily basis...

twitter to name a few.

Pet stores haven't sold puppies for years in the UK. People just buy from private breeders which can be worse for the dogs. I got a Rottweiler from someone and later found out he was just under 5 weeks old. Too early to be separated.

And it's the Breeder's Association of California for the win.
