Oprah 2020

Sources: Oprah Winfrey 'actively thinking' about running for president - Jan. 8, 2018

GAMEFINEST 01-08-2018 10:59 AM

She is really smart, self made billionaire. She has a good chance.

pimpmaster9000 01-08-2018 11:07 AM

she will win 200%

Rochard 01-08-2018 11:25 AM

Oprah is not qualified. We don't need someone who is "smart" and "self made". We need someone qualified. This is not a job where you can walk into it and do well. This is a job that requires years if not decades of experience.

Unless someone more qualified steps up she would be a far better president than four more years of that moron CHUMP !

Agreed. I think that a President should at least be a politician, not a celebrity or business person. But since Trump, I think this has probably permanently changed.

Then again, maybe if they don't have to be a politician, then maybe a second choice is a really smart person who is also a very good communicator, who is tough yet compassionate and who probably could make a friend of everyone in the whole world.

That really would be really interesting actually... I think if anyone could beat Oprah, it would be Joe Biden... I think Elizabeth Warren is also really smart. Warren would probably win on facts against Oprah, but lose on applause. Winfrey is more popular and better liked than Warren.

Acepimp, would you vote for Oprah?

Our greatest President is arguably George Washington. He was a super rich businessman as well as a general.

I don't think "politicians" should EVER be President. Unless they are governors with EXECUTIVE experience.
Executives should be running the executive branch.
Politicians should be in the legislative branch (Congress)
And lawyers (with all their bullshit...lol) should be in the Judicial Branch.

People have been brainwashed over the decades into believing that bureaucrats have "experience" to be President. Bullshit.
Leadership is the main ingredient for President. It is the EXECUTIVE branch. No bureaucracy required.

Bureaucrats become successful by following. Not leading. If you look back at the 8 years of slow economics and bad foreign policy decisions by the Obama Administration you see the main criticism was that he "Led from behind".

That's unacceptable.

And remember...it was "politicians" running things that put our country in $20 TRILLION dollars of debt, endless wars, and a horrible economy.

Now the economy is stronger than it has been in more than a dozen years and the GDP is 3% (which Obama said was "impossible).

Politicians? No thank you.

He announced his intent to form a presidential exploratory committee on CNN's "Larry King Live" in October 1999. During the interview, King asked whether he had a vice presidential candidate in mind. Mr. Trump, seconds after uttering, "I really haven't gotten there quite yet," declared, "Oprah, I love Oprah. Oprah would always be my first choice."

I am not a Democrat.

Trump could run as a Democrat and my thoughts about him wouldn't change. Oprah could run as a Democrat and I still would't want to vote for her - She is just not qualified.

At this point, it would take a lot to shock me in regards to an election. Oprah, The Rock, Tom Hanks, a few years ago I would have said there was no chance any of them could win. Now, it's a different world and any of them clearly could win.

"Political job"? WTF?

It's the EXECUTIVE BRANCH. Did nobody take civics in high school?

By the way...Trump is not the first President who never held ANY political office before (though you will NEVER hear that from the mainstream media)

Here's the list of Presidents who never held any political office before becoming President Of The United States.

Zachary Taylor, Ulysses S. Grant, Herbert Hoover, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and Donald Trump

I think you're right.

Even though Ronald Regan was an actor, he was at least a Govenor and had some political experience before sitting in the big chair. Trump has proven that anyone can be president.

Robbie 01-08-2018 10:41 PM

What exactly does "political experience" even mean?
That a person has experience running a campaign?
Or experience in backroom shady deals in Washington?

The PRESIDENT is the executive branch.
I don't see people screaming for politicians to be in the judicial branch.

Executives should be in the executive branch.
Lawyers in the judicial.
And politicians in the legislative branch.

That is how our 3 equal branches of government are supposed to work

xKingx 01-08-2018 10:50 PM

WOW, Look at these wild accusations being thrown around!

Trump's not a rapist you clown. You've confused him with Bill Clinton. He's not a groper either you clown. On the pussy-grab tape, he said "they let you." He's talking about a consensual hook-up. Normal behavior for a billionaire playboy. You wouldn't get this concept Directfiesta, since democrats don't understand the meaning of "consent." Trump's done nothing wrong. And he is qualified, and all the numbers prove it.

"red hats" generally do not hate people based on skin color. Leftists tend to look at skin color a lot though. It's all they seem to talk about nowadays. Turn on the Daily Show and there's a 9 out of 10 chance they are once again pointing out how different white and black people are. Divide and conquer.

If Trump would be black, purple, yellow or green, it doesn't matter. He would've still won. Smart people don't elect people based on skin color (that would be fucking retarded and racist) or gender (that would be fucking retarded and sexist).

ilnjscb 01-09-2018 11:00 AM

Very simple - No white candidate will win against a credible black candidate in democratic primaries.

http://assets.pewresearch.org/wp-con...er-turnout.png

When a black candidate is running, black turnout in primaries increases. Black voters made up 25 percent of the Democratic primary electorate in 2016 without a black candidate.

More importantly, they make up a large part of several early southern state voters. Clinton lost whites to Bernie Sanders 48% - 50%, but won black voters by 77% to 22%. She also won the primary.

Any black credible candidate will win blacks by more than 77%, as Obama did. No white candidate will ever win against a credible black candidate again. If Oprah runs, her real competition will be Harris, Booker, or Patrick. I can imagine those candidates will step aside and wait for a VP nod.

To me, someone who is going to run a country, should have a strong understanding of science, commerce, economics, energy, politics, culture, and history, and be able to speak at least 1 extra language.

The extra language thing is great but in the USA it would greatly limit the pool of candidates.

The rest of it would have eliminated Trudeau here in Canada. :1orglaugh
