Anyone use an android box?
 

I have several and my latest is a MXQ Pro plus. Its not bad but not good enough so I ordered a rockchip 3399 on ebay, should get it soon. Kodi rocks but there so many streaming sites now its sick. I setup voice command that controls my entire media system...way cool!

Get a Nvidia Shield TV. Awesome bit of kit.

I just use kodi on my pcs with an infrared remote sensor. Control it with my harmony remotes. Figured there was no reason to buy another box.

I have an old android box, its outdated by now and slow, a lot of apps are not supported etc etc

I seen you mention using covenant. Do you use any other plugins? It seems to be great for movies and tv shows but doesn't appear to have sports. For example, if someone wanted to watch a UFC PPV

Kodi sucks now. I moved over to IPTV, give it a try its so much better / stable. You can get it through Kodi as well. People on Facebook sell it dirt cheap. I have over 1k live channels like Sport, Movies, Porn plus a shit ton of boxset movies and tv shows. I use it via an app on my Samsung TV and its also great on the Amazon Firestick

Ya I subscribe to Nitro TV. Its great but still use Kodi a lot.

Sorry, I don't really watch sports. The box and kodi are really more of a toy to me than a serious way to watch TV. I do actually pay for one of the most comprehensive TV packages available in the UK - Sky World - So any big sport thing I might want to watch, is usually on that...

However the 'smart' functions of my 2016 4K LG TV are substandard - Amazon video no longer works on the TV for example. So I use my box to replace the smart functions on my TV more so than for Kodi. So sorry, I really have no experience of that to be able to help :(

No problem. I just recently installed covenant so thought I would ask. I don't really watch sports either other than the very rare ufc fight or maybe boxing once a year. I used to have a different plugin ibstalled, i think maybe it was exodus. It had lots of additional crap like sports etc but most of it seemed unnecessary. I wasn't sure if there was a specific one that everyone used these days. I'm still paying for satellite too as well as Netflix, but would like to phase out the satellite in the future.
