Got a bullet style blender - post your recipes!

I had regular style one, now I decided to try the trendy bullet style :pimp

https://dam.which.co.uk/235be2b9-c79...08369f6be9.jpg

Checking out some ideas, so far it seems there are few "templates" for blender meals:

a) protein related

b) veggie/green related

c) fruit related (no no for me - I'd rather eat solid frut, plus full blender of fruot is how much sugar?)

d) meal replacement - looking mostly for this, for when I am n the rush, would be cool to blend and drink it quickly. Also would be cool to prepare something at night for quick breakfast.

Ps: it seems that oats are super popular ingredient of most blender meals. Is it because they are "healthy" or because they are cheap source of calories?

Thanks

It's very easy to overstuff the bullet blender, resist the urge or it wont blend :thumbsup

I don't know, blended grilled fish and salad seems too extreme for my blender noob level :1orglaugh
One step before blended meat and salad? :)
Blended steak, fries and salad anyone? :)

First "real" response, thanks, brewski :thumbsup

Ps: I am a simple guy, do not mess with all those fancy milks, will switch for regular :)

Adultium 02-12-2018 05:41 AM

spinach
celery
green apple
cucumber
basil
ginger
lemon

All chop and put into a blender.
Pour into a glass and enjoy! Vitamin cocktail is ready. :winkwink:

i make full blender - 1.5l = 2kg+ of that and sometimes after super hard core activity i drink it all almost at once and too much real milk just upsets my stomach and i like creamy taste, that's why cashew milk.

also forgotten, i add water to start with, before any ingredients.

I do a lower calorie version of ice cream that is pretty good.

chop up some bananas and put it in a freezer bag over night. this is your 'ice cream' base. put one or one and a half bananas worth in the cup. mix in some peanut butter and it makes for a pretty quick and simple dessert. add in some dark chocolate chunks works well too. one or two frozen strawberries could be a different way to go.

Any thing you blend for a sweet. Use Honey instead of sugar.

Try kale and banana...it's very nutritious and surprisingly tasty...one banana will overpower the taste of raw kale...kale is healthy as fuck...do not over blend your shit...leave some chunks...add some water to liquify and make it more drinkable...chug it down like a boss...

Perhaps, for those who are accustomed to eat only fast food and junk foods it may seem explosive.

That sounds better.

Any alternatives if kale not available (and is it really that more healthy than alternatives, I heard that it has some hipster spell while not being that much more better than alternative greens)?

what about double the oats instead of oats + rice? Or purely for taste (or for "different kind" of carbs) 50/50 oats/rice better than 100 oats?

Didn't bother with thinking too much over it.

I got the idea from Rich Piana on youtube, he has rice based supplement called "real food" - which is basically instant rice - and he puts oats with it too.

You can use any kind of instant rice from the one from health stores to the baby food instant rice.

Rice and oats digest quickly and have low glycemic index which means energy is released slowely.

BTW, that's my go-to recipe after very intense activity like mountain biking, trekking or 2-4h on elyptical during winter times, it's very high carb, no need to drink that if you don't do any activity.

freeze bananas... let them thaw out a bit so you don't kill the motor.... then blend em up tastes like ice cream.

Reason I am asking is that it is much more convenient to put 1 ingredient instead of 2 if second one does not add anything extra (taste or nutrition wise).

bulletproof coffee is what I make with mine

Take that small thing back and get yourself a vitamix blender. Something that can actually pulverize ice

Constant Phil 02-16-2018 01:16 PM

For breakfast for the past 5+ years ive had the following:

2 Scoops Egg Protein
1 Cup Raw Oats
1 Banana
3 Tbps Natural PB
1.5 Cup Ice
Walden Farms Calorie Free Chocolate Syrup (to taste)

Gains meal/meal replacement

I specifically needed this kind of blender (I have the regular one, not as expensive/good as viatmix).

What I needed from this small thing:

a) easier cleaning
b) you can take whole thing, put a lid on and use it as a glass.
c) these upside down blenders crush things better than not upside down ones.
