Trump commented on the shooting today, and was asked by a reporter if he would want to change any gun laws. His response was "If there was an armed guard inside the temple, they would have been able to stop him".

No. Fuck no.

The solution to prevent shootings is more firearms, and more people armed with firearms? And we want to put them in the two places where firearms should never be, churches and schools?

Armed guards is clearly not the solution. It obviously didn't work in the Parkland shooting, where an armed officer was unable to do anything to stop the shooting. You cannot send a single man armed with a handgun into a building where a gunman with a death wish is armed with an assault rifle.

I met with our Chief of Police the week before last. At any given moment in our town of fifty thousand people we have four officers on duty. We have a dozen schools in town. It's physically impossible to have an officer at each school. Of course, this doesn't include churches.

This is FALSE. One guard at Parkland was sleeping in his car. The policeman at the school refused to go inside like a little bitch.. They even ordered the EMT's to not go in to help dying teenagers.

So please quit saying they were "unable" to do anything, Rochard.

There are also school districts which do let teachers concealed carry. Those schools haven't had any shootings. :2 cents:

So like I said.... We had armed guards at Parkland and they were unable to do anything.

Some people fail to understand how this works. A single armed guard at a school is worthless. Before any armed guard is able to respond to a shooting, bodies have already hit the floor. It's already too late. We watch way too much TV; People think a sixteen year old is going to walk into a school with an M16 and thousands of possible targets and miss all of them and a single armed guard is going to be able to locate, close with, and take down the shooter. It just does not work that way. Some of these schools are huge; The armed security guard can be minutes away on foot - this assumes the armed security guard is even able to figure out which building the shooting is in.

Armed security guards will never work. We had them at Parkland. They did not work. People died. Kids died. Now every kid who went to that school is going to have to live with this for the rest of their lives.

The only solution is to stop handing out firearms like candy. It's like saying the solution to the opioids problem is to hand out more opioids and then build more rehab facilities.

I woke up this morning and the first thing I see on Facebook is there was a shooting in the next town at Dave & Busters.

So... Now we'll need armed guards at schools, churches, movie theaters, malls, any restaurant where there are arcade styled games, grocery stores, Wal Marts, any store in general; Pretty much any fucking place where more than ten people might be at any given moment.

Because the solution is more guns.

Every american should be armed with an ar15 and a pallet of ammo. All paid by the government to the gun manufactures. Just give more tax cuts to the rich while cutting entitlements to pay for it....MAGA
