Front door false sense on security against machete-wielding intruder (graphic video)

Holy fuck this front door is litterally like cardboard against this crazy fuck with a machete. Dam!

From the comments section:

The reality of this video is at 3:57.
Burgerler: You killed me.
Guy: What? You where gonna kill me.
Burgerler: Yeah you’re right. I was.
Guy: Well then I did the right thing.
Burgerler: You did.

This is old an has been posted before as support to gun nuts, problem is.. give the perpetrator a gun and the guy in the apartment could of potentially gone down first...

The offender is a veteran with serious psychological troubles, so this is ultimately the failing of the VA (and therefore the US Gov't) in treating his illness. He started 2 floors above smashing up his own apartment and then went on a rampage it wasn't until 20 minutes later he was shot.. no one had called police. The reason there is video footage is because this was repeat behaviour … he'd kicked in that door before over loud music..

I don't know about American laws but here in Australia that door would be illegal, mostly because its a fire risk... and for security, especially in an apartment block. Also its common practice in apartments that you can only access the level you live on.

---
If a cranky neighbour has kicked in your door before... don't replace it with a cardboard one. The victim choose to buy a gun... over moving or having adequate security door.

… I'd guess both voted Trump.

Why are people allowed to own guns, and shoot at anyone who happens to enter their residence? Like its the Old West or something?

What should have happened is that person not had a gun, and simply said, "Look, please don't chop me to pieces. Ok?"

I'm sure the guy with the machete would have said, "Sure, no problem" and left peacefully.
And who knows, he probably just came inside because he wanted to be friends. Or maybe he came in to say "Sorry, I tripped and broke your door. How much do I owe you for the damage, my friend?"

But he had no idea he would encounter some insane person with a gun who was having paranoid delusions that he's a cowboy.

That video is horrible. I hope the guy who got shot is ok. The person with the gun should be locked up for a long, long time. Guns should be against the law.

problem was: the guys kicked down that door before and instead of securing it better/ moving or calling authorities the home owner choose to buy a gun and have a camera setup// on the inside.

See it doesn't add up unless you conclude the victim had specifically setup the scenario knowing what was going to go down. Had the perpetrator gone and brought an AK47 and blasted the fuck out of that door.... just as likely an scenario, the outcome might of been very different.

Glad he had a gun but that door was like using a paper door.

I have no doubt that one day I'lll meet a truly intelligent Republican from America but so far in life all I've meet or conversed with online that I'm aware of are 1 IQ point up from a Neanderthal.

just saying ya know

Looks like a clean shoot. Killing someone for breaking through your door with a machete is about as justified as it can get. And the shooter looked like he was trying to avoid the situation but there was no way to avoid it when it when it comes charging through your door like that.

The government's hands are tied by shitlibs nowadays.

Every big city in America has these lunatics walking around. Literally. Go to any big city and you will see them.

As long as they aren't OBVIOUSLY a danger to themselves or others in the moment they are being evaluated they can't be involuntarily committed. And the bar of crazy behavior has been raised so high now that they aren't being taken in unless they are caught in the act of being a danger to themselves or others.

Shitlib failure!

What should have happened is the guy should have pulled out his assault rifle and chopped up the butcher instead with it.

Actually, there is nothing wrong with this video at all, and it went down exactly as it should.
