Trump Victory

Well, that's what it's going to be called.
The merger of Trump's re-election campaign and the RNC.
https://www.politico.com/story/2018/...ws-rnc-1067875

Now, someone on the republican side more in tune with party rules has to know if this can even be done legally and/or withing it's own rules before a primary has been achieved.

As this would give trump control of the spending going into the primary process.
And provide him with funds not intended for him if he wants them.
So I can see those senate seats very much at risk for them. The most funding will have to come from those 'issue' adds we have learned to hate from anonymous donors to non-profits.

What say folks, anyone smart enough to answer that ? Can he do this before the primary ?

I can see the great evacuation of the party if this stands.

This is spin for Trump & the RNC not getting big donations as expected and needing to streamline & consolidate operations to work on a shoestring budget.

This is great news for Democrats :winkwink:

If you're a multinational corporation that had a great $400,000,000 tax deduction with Trump but paid $1 billion dollars in tariffs, would you donate to Trump?

Well, we could talk all day or two about all the lack of those interested in promoting his agenda, and this seems to be a work around for trump.

But I'm really asking if this can even be a legit play.
By rules or laws.

It goes to the heart of the primary process.
I can see them doing something like this after the primary.
But this allows him to thwart his adversaries in the primary.

...without any vote I should add.

I find it hard to believe Mr. trump would run for a second term. Could you just imagine running against him? Everyone who has worked for him is guilty of something. I don't don't mean "I think they are guilty" I mean "They are physically in prison".

Trump did have victory today, should be reported more

Trump administration moves to ban bump stocks

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Trump administration is moving to officially ban bump stocks, which allow semi-automatic weapons to fire rapidly like automatic firearms.

HE'S COMING TO TAKE YOUR GUNS

They don't want to make a big announcement about this. It would upset their base.

It means nothing till congress sets a law that must be executed.
Anything POTUS can do by himself POTUS can undo at free will later.
Or be turned out by the courts.
I've seen nothing to that better description.
It is a attempt to make it a non-issue during the election.

BTW... there is money to be made in just running.
Would he 'take the money and run' ?
Of course he is going to run.
