Reality is broken.

Whoa, the videos are fantastic. Would never expect these in this topic. Such explanations on Machine Learning would make my day

When I was 13 years young I thought "time does not exist, time is personal, the same time that was thousands of years ago is the same time as now" as in there is no future or past, it's always present.

Than I discovered booze.

And if your mind still isn't blown:

I believe the 2nd more elaborate experiment was designed to see if a machine's observation affected the outcome of the double-slit experiment, as opposed to a human's observation. It didn't. A human with consciousness needs to be observing the outcome in order to affect it.

This proved that mere mindless machine observation doesn't collapse the wave. Something with consciousness (a human) is necessary for that. This indicates that consciousness is entangled with matter.

Matter existed before humans. It existed since its creation during the Big Bang. If consciousness is entangled with matter, then all matter must have been created that way. This suggests that something with consciousness must have been watching the Big Bang as it occurred. How can this be, when absolutely nothing could possibly exist (certainly no humans) before or at the time of the Big Bang?

If THAT consciousness was entangled with all matter upon its creation, and if OUR consciousness is also entangled with all matter...then OUR consciousness must be entangled with THAT original consciousness.

You need proof that God exists? There's your proof.

Here's an experiment:
Get 3 buckets: Put hot water in one, ice water in another and room temperature water in the center. Put your hands in the hot and cold water and leave them until you can't stand it anymore, then put your hands in the center bucket. Now, what temperature is the water in that center bucket?

The hand that had been in the ice water will tell you that it is scalding hot, the hand that had been in the hot water will tell you that it is freezing cold. So, what's the takeaway? Our brain processes the information our senses give to it. In short, we are all little more than a brain in a box and reality is completely subjective.

Wherever you go, there you are.

People who are not mindful of the present question the substance of reality.

Thats your brain signaling a sudden temperature change... A very real temperature change. AKA reality.

Lol

Lol

Or is it? :1orglaugh

The point is that all stimuli, including the world around us, is filtered through your brain - and it's not always reliable.

Ever heard of Solipsism? It's a theory that you are the only thing that exists and everything and everybody is nothing more than a figment of your imagination.

Descartes said it best: "I think, therefore I am." Meaning, that is the only thing you can say with absolute certainty - that in some form YOU exist, at least cognitively. Anything outside of that is open to debate.

This is not correct. Collapse of the wavefunction has got nothing to do with consciousness.

Good point. God can be perceived in a lot of different ways, from mainstream religion, spiritualism or just nature. But something had to get this party started.

I'm not entirely sold on the big bang. We could be the result of a blackhole opening a new universe, I guess that would be a big bang. But I don't think there's an end to the universe, because that just wouldn't make sense.

I don't believe 'nothing' can exist. Like, how could 'nothing' exist? It's fun to think about, but it's a rabbit hole with no end.
