What will happen when Twitter bans porn?
 

I've been watching the signals coming out of Twitter since the Tumblr porn ban, could Twitter go the same way? I fear it might.

What will happen when Twitter banishes porn?

People will just post R rated pics linking to the porn platform / site or link to an R rated buffer site that will link to the porn site.

Has that strategy got legs on Tumblr?

Porn will always finds another way to proliferate . . .

Of course, Twitter wasn't even thought about when most of us started in the biz, but it seems so central to the marketing efforts of porn stars now, it's a leapfrog from Twitter to Instagram, to Manyvids or Clips4Share or Pornhub etc.

If the Twitter component of that marketing goes away, what happens?

I only use twitter to promote sextoys.

The tumblr ban kind of became the ban that didn't happen. They're just enforcing the rules more tightly now.
I am sure enough people will fuck up twitter to have them eventually ban porn. There is something going on now with twitter's tech back end. Not working right.

I think many of the people taking hits on twitter are ones not following their simple rules.

I never thought it was actually allowed just never policed. I am sure terms and conditions would forbid it not that I have actually read them.

My tumblr traffic didn't seem to take much of a hit, of course we always followed the rules that have always been in place about nudity :1orglaugh

I have a much better conversion on traffic that I bring in with PG rated marketing material, than with the hardcore tube 10 min videos :2 cents:

People have already started creating similar social sites which will allow adult posts also. We got 6 custom projects on this last month and 3 of them are for tumblr clone.
