How much do you pay a person to...

How much should you pay a person to review TGP galleries?

ldinternet 05-04-2003 03:38 PM

$fuck all

Or use the old "burger and fries" rule
1. Take McDonalds minumum wage
2. Double it
3. Divide by three

& that's how much you should offer per hour. Nobody should expect to be offered $8/hour for that kind of no talent bullshit "work".

shermo 05-04-2003 03:41 PM

Pay a flat rate for the month (2-500 depending on the site) or send the person some traffic. That should be more than enough.

Gutterboy 05-04-2003 03:41 PM

Sweatshops rule.

I have two 10 year old Thai girls updating my sites 12 hours a day each for $1.10 a week.

kios 05-04-2003 04:22 PM

I just got a deal with a tgp. $450 per month ($15 per day)... and it was a category tgp without descriptions (hardcore, teen etc.). Im still waiting for one more. Email me at [email protected] and I can start reviewing tomorrow monday!

Exactly. How hard can it be to review galleries?

I'm sure you can throw in some bonuses here and there, but IMO, it should be min. wage.

Lane 05-04-2003 04:28 PM

why would you hire someone in the US for this? the minimum wage in many countries is below $100 per month.

If you take some time and compare different tgp:s and check out the quality of gallerys listed you will be surprised. For example, worldsex, they seem to take the time and mostly get good gallerys listed, why do you think they get more and more bookmakers? I wont name any bad tgps, but you will easily find them, and many of them are loosing bookmakers like crazy... trust me, reviewing gallerys is a bit harder than you think if you want to get more bookmakers.

Nysus 05-04-2003 04:28 PM

It's pretty much grunt work, though I'm currently looking for at least an extra $15 a day so if you're looking for a reviewer or anything else then I'm availible. No gay anal sex though, sorry. :)

Cheers,
Matt

thefreakybeaver 05-04-2003 04:35 PM

You also need to take into consideration how much TIME & Money you are saving by having someone else do it for you.

And why would someone want to do "grunt work" for measly pay if they could be doing work for themselves and making more money. Just some things to consider :)

I have things to do for 12 hours per day now, and I cant do any more of that work Im currently doing per day. Im online 16 hours per day, and that means 4 hours of either sitting here and read stupid mostly nonadult realted threads or working some more. Got one tgp to do reviews for now, and that means 2 hours left now. Still waiting for anyone interested in my last 2 hours per day.

Sarah_Jayne 05-04-2003 04:44 PM

what always seems to go unnoticed by those who have never reviewed for a major tgp is the absolute beating your computer will take from the zillion and one cheating sites you have to reject. Not only will it it take a good number of hours out of your day if you are doing it for a large tgp but you get to be the one opening the galleries that redirect to cj hell, try to download all sorts of crap to your system, reset your homepage, are full of child porn, beastiality, extreme rape portrayal and generally have crap java on it that will shut down your system.

theWatsonian 05-04-2003 04:44 PM

I used to do it for traffic.

me too but it was dang good traffic that few other tgps could match. Have to say that these days I would want either traffic at that level of quality or actual pay.

perhaps but then when I started doing it (near 5 years ago) it was an excellent way to learn the workings of the industry and the return I got from the traffic was enough alone to put me through university. I supppose I consider it the 'danger money' side of this biz ;)

TurboTrucker 05-04-2003 04:53 PM

One million dollars. When do I start?

Pappa 05-04-2003 04:58 PM

I'm doing reviews (with descriptions) for a TGP and get payed with daily listings/traffic. Only take about an hour a day of my time, so it's worth it imo.

I wouldn't mind diong reviews and getting some $ for it though. I could use some more steady income, so if anyone need a reviewer and will pay for it feel free to contact me. berik3 at spray dot no.
I have more than enough time to kill as it is atm anyhow :thumbsup

Well put.

We also have problems with cheaters and the webmasters that send submit non-related galleries through their submission scripts. Re-directing is also a problem. We give the surfers a chance to report that crap and they do all the time.

The guys that work for me now are getting their duties changed to other areas and they wont have time for this. This task isnt a full time position, anyone with a fast connection and common websense should be able to do the galleries in 2 hrs.

"Nothing else to do" You must not be doing something right lol I always have TOO much to do!

Why not take those two hours and build an avs site or 2 and submit it to 10 or so avs's? You'll make at least one sale if you can market right and that'd be more than minimum wage for gallery review :) Just hate to see ppl getting taken advantage of.

Say that tgp owner makes $50/hour for some work he is doing instead of reveiwing galleries because that is what YOU will be doing for him and you'll get $5, he'll get $45 or more. See what I'm saying here. You may be working from home but you are still "working for the man"

Gallery reviewing should be a better job than flippin burgers :)
I've never reviewed galleries for anyone but myself and I never had anyone review them but I think the industry is trying to make to advantage of newbies who know no better.

If you're gonna pay minimum wages per hour, give them a good listing AND teach them to one day become self sufficient (how to build and trade traffic etc)
