what level of file destruction do you use...
 

I wanted to get rid of that video of that well know r&b singer on my computer so I used the Department of Defense 5220.220-M standards destruction method.....

I have two higher options...the standard that exceeds the DOD standard, which "demagnitizes" the drive and I have the Peter Guttman method, which takes a hella long time but the file can't be recovered with even the highest sophisticated shit...

What do y'all use?

Im looking for something that will automatically encrypt on the fly with multiple random encryption schemes, THEN have it overwrite it Guttman style. My version of Guttman is 35 passes, I dont know if thats the norm, and that shit can take a long time.

My guess is then if for some odd reason they did manage to pull it off the drive, they are then faced with a file thats been randomly encrypted several times. Do that to my cache once a day, and that would be like 5000 items a day they would be sorting through.

Would be utterly hopeless on their behalf.

I am also looking for a good fast slack wiper.

I can already see it on Cops next week...
