And I want you to remember that when the deals announced and also be clear in your brain that China saying, "We will buy X amount more " does not equate to any deal.. because that was and is happening already, primarily due to that extra 850 million hitting middle class. Eg: Xi announces tariff on foreign cars is dropped! It means zippy fuck to the USA if Japan and Korea get it as well, simply because their closer and can ship to China for a 1/4 what it costs from the USA. Sure you get some sales but millions more will go to Japan.

Where as if its a USA/ China exclusive deal, then American car makers have a chance at competing.

1. china is on the best way to realize the new silk road.
that means: near to zero international trade will be possible where china will not benefit. if us wants to trade with whoever outside from the american continent, they will need china´s new worldwide infrastructure.

2. the silk road project have ZERO to do with US at all. the countries involved in the meeting have been:

Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Brunei, Cambodia, Chile, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Djibouti, Egypt, Ethiopia, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.

3. the exports from china to the USA have INCREASED since trump started the trade war.
US debts are rising with ultraspeed and trade deficit is the worst in the last 10 years since trump took office.

4. trump´s trade war have caused that the rest of the world made trade alliances that are working independent from USA. and they do also not resolve the problems of the US - the opposite is the case. i.e. US does not have any country left that takes your plastic waste as it was exported to malaysia and they closed that trade this days. the export to china is under trumps trade war. means: trump have to beg china now to take the plastic waste if they do not take it you have to find an own solution what will cost a fortune.

with other words: the one and only country that really suffers HARD under the trade war is the USA as the trade deficit wents from MINUS 40 billion per month to MINUS 60 billion.

and YES china got also hit by the trade war - their balance went from PLUS 480 billion down to PLUS 380 billion. do you see the difference?

if you would even have the SMALLEST clue of economy you would also know, that a gross domestic product just tells you about products produced. if you want to find out if these products are also sold you should watch also the inventory.
because when production is rising and inventory is rising, it means that this products are UNSOLD somewhere on stock.

and this again is a result of tax cutts.

big stock market companies used this money to buy theri own shares back and pushed the price up.
smaller companies invested this money in inventory on stock. but inventory also costs money when it is not sold - so when the stock is full they will not buy anymore.

think it to the end and you will know what will happen.
you will see the result by the end of this year, when the effects of the tax cutt is gone and the debts of US are so high that they can not be paid back with the lower tax income.

what is so difficult in this maths? the federal tax revenue in 2019 will be aproximately 4,5 trillion. aproximately 370 billion of that are gone for paying interest on the US dept.
the forecast for 2020 is a tax income of 3,6 trillion and interest spendings of nearly 500 billion. how long will it take til ALL government spendings are used to pay interest on depts ? i will tell you how long: with a few more trumps in office it will need around 25 years.

I do not totally 'disagree' with trumps stance with China trade.
But he is selling us short in a long term basis to have a deal he can claim for election.
While we will see no great improvement in trade, the rules will have us locked-in for some time to come without agreement on intellectual property and how much tech know-how our companies must give-up to China to sell there.
That has always been the core issues raise by US biz. Funny they never make headlines.

a country doesn't get big by trying to make another country smaller.
there are problems with china and not only in the USA. but the question is how to solve these problems JOINTLY.

the biggest problem is that china has developed into the strongest economic power in the world with unfair means. the purchasing power that china has achieved through this has become indispensable. if you destroy china's economy, you also destroy its purchasing power, which keeps the whole global game running.

it's like having 10 cows in your barn. one of the cows secretly stole the other's food and is the only one that gives enough milk. you can slaughter this one cow now but it will take years for the remaining cows to replace the lack of milk.

a country can be either an important customer or an important supplier. in the case of china, however, both are true.

let's take boeing as an example. if the approx. 30% of a boeing machine, which is manufactured directly or indirectly by chinese suppliers, were replaced by domestic products, an aircraft would end up being twice as expensive to sell.

as a result, boeing would no longer be internationally competitive and even if the domestic airlines continued to buy the expensive boeings, this would not only have an effect on flight prices but on much more, such as the transport of goods in air traffic.

this spiral would go all the way to the bakery at the corner and make any existing product more expensive.

expensive products, however, reduce the quality of life of each individual. especially for those at the lower end of the food chain. so those who can already afford little can then afford even less.

economy is like playing chess. the chess mat is based on a move that was made a hundred moves ago.

therefore it is not only highly complicated for people who understand these laws and connections - it is also IMPOSSIBLE that economic laymen will ever understand it.
