Recommendation for host.

We need something temporary and nothing fancy at this point in time, just the standard bells and whistles.

I'm told that there might be a large amount of data uploaded but I haven't gotten any clarification on how big that "large amount" actually is. (or for that matter what they consider a "large amount.")

247 Host and also Hostiserver both good for me

Hey there,

Before you begin shopping around, I recommend you determine how much "a large amount" of data actually is. Everyone has a totally different concept as to what this number may be.

Earlier this week I had somebody come to me with a similar request, they had "a lot of data" and were very concerned. "A lot of data" to him turned out to be 60 GB, which many in this industry would chuckle at considering we are used to dealing with video data.

It's important to note also that if you truly are talking about a decent amount of data, 1 TB plus, you will be tipping into the dedicated server world if you intend for the data to be accessible online. If you just need storage, that's another story altogether.

Feel free to shoot us an email at [email protected] . Even if we don't have something for you, we'd be more than happy to point you in the right direction.

Yup me too.. I've been with them for a year and it doesn't seem that long but I guess when you don't have issues with a host time flies by :thumbsup:2 cents:

Vendzilla 06-20-2019 06:24 AM

Been with website for over a decade

NatalieMojoHost 06-20-2019 08:04 AM

I agree with Sly - requirements vary and so finding out what exactly you'll need is critical before making any decisions. Any host will require more information before helping you choose a solution that works for your needs. I'd be happy to talk further and work on a fitting quote for you, so feel free to reach out via contacts in my signature at your convenience.

trevesty 06-20-2019 09:55 AM

Vacares without a doubt.

Constant Phil 06-20-2019 10:12 AM

Please feel free to send your requirements over to [email protected] I would be more than happy to point you in the right direction and put some quotes together for both a VPS or Dedicated Server.

They used to be great years ago, but now they're going the same way as Godaddy. I would strongly recommend everyone to keep clear, they've caused me so many problems.

If I recall correctly there's some sort of connection between them and Jim the fiend. I don't like breathing the same planetary air that he does.
