TOP TIP: How to get the latest model phone for free...

1) Goto a popular tourist hotspot.

2) Find a group of about 10+ people with one of them taking a photo of the group.

3) Approach the one with the phone, who is about to miss out on appearing in the group shot, and ask loudly and clearly 'Would you like me to take it?"

4) When they say 'Yes' and hand you the phone, just fuck off with it as fast as possible...

5) Should the police get involved, you have a large group of witnesses who would have to swear under oath that when you asked to 'Take' the phone, that the owner said yes and gave it to you...

Free Phone, no laws broken and totally legal cause you asked first :thumbsup

I don't have the need to have the latest and greatest phone. My phone is a few years old. It does calls, Facebook, email, takes photos.... That's all I need.

That would involve running. Are we sure a free phone is worth the effort?

This a really fucked up, tourist travel to have fun, and not have to worry about this..

No need to run. That would be snatch and grab. I'm simply suggesting that you ask if you can take the phone, and when they say yes and hand it to you, just take it. No need to run. You asked permission and they said yes...

But think of the exciting story they get to tell when they get home... :2 cents:

all phones are lockable once stolen, and considering most are tracked these days, wouldn´t take long to have the police knocking lol

At a festival last year a couple of random girls asked me to take a photo of them in front of a sign, but because of its size I had to stand about 30 metres away from them, so if I was a thief it would have been easy to run off with the phone.

They asked if I wanted them to take a photo for me, which I politely declined. I realised later that it could have been a reverse scam, where they first lull me into a false sense of security and then end up stealing my phone after they offer to reciprocate. But I think they were just having fun, and for some reason they trusted a random stranger. Probably helped that my kid was with me. :)

That was a popular scam when I was in Egypt.
