Is it worth translating your site into multiple languages?

I have paysite that always has people signing up from France, Italy, Germany etc. Anyone translate their site and see better conversions from these countries?

Don't they have scripts now that translate? You know, the link with different flags in the corner? I should get me that....:)

Isn't it logical to assume that google is already doing that for them? I mean, if I hit a site that's all in french, google translates it into english.

If its a language I have not encountered before, then it asks me if I want it translated, but once I have said yes, it remembers...

I tried it once and it killed my traffic - Take this as a warning...

It's a good idea to do it, but you've gotta do it correctly.

I wouldn't bother if you only get 10 visits from France (for example) daily and don't ever see yourself getting more than 100.

If it's a site with a decent amount of traffic (~100k+), though, then it's worth considering - especially if a good portion of that traffic comes from non-English regions.

This is a pretty good post about it: https://ahrefs.com/blog/multilingual-seo/

Use CyberSEO. It does translate from/to 100 languages automatically. And yes it works very well for Google.

I would not recommend using the software due to the most recent Google update.

Anyway, in case you need translation services hit me up.

+1

manual translations are worth it (highly recommend Biggie Smalls Web Writing)
machine translations will hurt you in the long run

On paysite , you definitely need to have it and it need to be done manually. On free site, you can get away with auto-translation. I use yandex translate for it, not google.

Great advice!

Search engines could find more words in more languages. You would get better seo if more pages are indexed with more words in more languages.
