10 years from now. Do you guys believe we will make deep dive VR?

I felt the same way about robocars back in the late 90s. I watched modest improvements like self-parallel-parking cars appear, and thought it's one more step on a long road. Then suddenly google starting talking self-driving cars and it became a thing.

It will probably happen similarly for full immersion VR. We'll see VR getting a few features towards it, and then suddenly someone like google will announce the development of deep-dive tech. Then we'll watch for a few years while it's tested and wait until it's cheap enough for most people to get one.

Will VR porn win over flat pixels?

I dont know and I dont care whats next. Thats not me being negative... Infact the opposite - With tech today, its a great time to be alive and although I dont know what the future holds, Im really looking forward to getting my hands on it :)

Nope the motion sickness thing is a massive detractor to VR

Paul Markham 01-07-2020 05:09 AM

For games and movies, it will explode. For porn, it will do nothing.

Because shooting crap on VR, 3D or HD doesn't make it good. Then the budgets required to shoot good porn aren't there, there's no point shooting amateur VR as it's still amateur. Plus the cost of cameras lighting makes it prohibitive for most.

Unless it becomes so cheap and the new standard, then it will be available for free and Tubes will get the traffic.

While Tubes give away 99.99% of all the porn consumed there will be no magic bullet.

think the motion sickness thing is an issue, but there is funny places for VR use that hasn't been considered.. i am thinking mostly gyms / indoor bike gyms etc

Was HD, 3D or VR the magic bullet that saved the porn industry?

Yes I've been saying you don't have to give away porn to sell porn, that free porn would make most of us redundant and now you found out I was right.

How are your sign-ups compared to 2006?

You've just always been redundant. You projecting your failures onto everyone else doesn't mean it's true for everyone else. :winkwink:

Such a big failure I was able to retire in 2008.
