Washington State Coronavirus Deaths

Almost four times the worldwide average of deaths. People are really taking it seriously now. Businesses and schools are closing and sporting events are cancelled.

The financial impact of the virus is going to have an effect for years. Wonder how Trump will address the issue.

“As of Thursday afternoon, there are 1,636 cases of the novel coronavirus in the United States, according to the state and local health agencies, governments and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In Washington, where there have been 457 reported cases, 31 people have died from the virus”

There is a post on Facebook this morning from a guy in Washington talking about they are "Ground Zero" and it's been shared a lot. It's very scary really. They are talking about how they are completely overwhelmed, shelves in stores are empty, there are no beds left in the hospitals, and hospital staffs are exhausted. And they expect it to get much, much worse.

Yep...unfortunately this is going to happen across the whole US unless they get a hold of it ( which is doubtful). They really need to start quarantining people like Italy... although we're such a huge country, I don't know exactly what that will look like or how it would be implemented.

I'm on a 30 day work from home protocol. My kids schools have now all been shut down for the foreseeable future. We've got enough supplies for a good 3-4 months. NYS is tightening up. We have as many infections as Washington, but so far I don't believe we've had any reported deaths.

My wife just thanked me for not letting her giving me all the shit she gave me for prepping stop me from prepping.

3/4 of the deaths in WA were from a single nursing home full of old and sick people, you hysterical idiots

It's hyperbole bordering on pure bullshit. I was out and about today from Everett to Seattle. Traffic was as fucked as usual and the stores have plenty of everything.

Yet the media reported that every state had shortages of most things. News shows people buying everything in sight in quantity and panic is here.

They’d better not have a run on my meds.

Why not use one thread instead of creating new ones or is that sexist too?

The hoarders ran out of cash. I was in Walmart about 1.5hr ago. Everything still there except TP. Walked right up to self checkout and I was out.
