Any LOLTUN fans here? I used to mess with Cholula and Tapatio... then I saw the light and I'm all about Loltun now

Mad Anthony's Hot Sauce
Not stupid hot (I hate shit that's ridiculously hot) with a little sweetness. Great stuff. |
Sambol oelek. Chinese restaurants use it locally for General Gau’s Chicken (General Tso’s in some areas of the USA), various spicy dishes. I asked my favorite chef what he used years ago. Whenever I’d order food extra spicy, they’d come out from the back to see if I was Asian! At one restaurant in Providence they asked if I had Chinese relatives!
From Wikipedia: an chili sauce or paste typically made from a mixture of a variety of chili peppers with secondary ingredients such as shrimp paste, garlic, ginger, shallot, scallion, palm sugar, and lime juice. Sambal is an Indonesian loan-word of Javanese origin A little goes a long way. |

Satan's ghost, first ingredient is habenero and second is ghost pepper.

I guess I liked most of ones I've tried so far, but sriracha and plain classic tabasco are the ones I use most frequently.

I like Thai sweet chiili sauces, candy spice! prefer to make my own as its simple Equal weight quantities of fresh sliced chilli's, sugar and white vinegar and for every cup of vinegar add a garlic clove or two, blend it, then throw in a pot and bring to boil, simmer for about 40-60 minutes until thickened. Lasts a few months in fridge. |
I like hot souces and peppers. I can easily add ones of 100,000 Scovilles (e.g. Thai peppers) into my food and that's cool on the enter. The problem I have is on exit on the next day... It burns.

Something like that. In the Russian Spetsnaz you won't be eating pepper (everyone like me can eat it). You will need to take a little rabbit, cut off his head end eat him while he still twitches. I'm not joking. It's a standard procedure for Spetsnaz here. |
Get Blair Hot sauces , they use ginsing in their stuff.
I have some Satan's Ghost on my truck, it's really hot |

Tobasco. The vinegar is adds quite a lot of flavor.
I give Sri Racha 3/5 stars. I think it has too much garlic flavor, which doesn't go well with many dishes. It's also too fermented, which doesn't go with many dishes too. It's just too strong and too flavorful. It's not a good pairing with lighter foods. I give those mexican hot sauces above 1/5 stars. Way too hot! It overpowers the food itself. I know somewhat about pairing foods with wine; so, to me, a good hot sauce is one that'll add flavor to food, not just burn. |

tabasco I guess, still makes me drink 2 litres of water right after haha
